"Brother... what are you doing?"

You saw his face, and you'd never forget it. The face of disgust, anger, and betrayal. He towered over you. He was stronger than you physically. He placed a hand on your shoulder and pushed you back. You hit the wall, a picture frame crashing to the floor next to you. Before you could even look back at him, he slammed his bedroom door shut.

"Y/n, are you okay!?" Your dad came rushing upstairs after hearing the crash. "Did he put his hands on you!?"

"Yeah... is he mad at me, daddy?"

"I'm sure he is. He's mad that you told on him and that we grounded him. But you kept him safe, and that's all that matters."

"He won't hurt me, right...? Right?"
•••••••••••

"Doctor."

"Dabi."

"I'm surprised you came back after what I said last session."

"Why wouldn't I come back?"

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, maybe it scares you." He shrugged, but then wore a slight smirk on his face. "Did it scare you?"

"If you're trying to run me away, Dabi, it's not going to work. I've had much, much worse case studies in college."

"Yeah, but those are scenarios on paper, this is real life, Doctor."

"Okay, let's get started." You had a feeling you knew what he was doing. Scaremongering, a type of manipulation that is supposed to cause fear by exaggerated rumors of impending danger. Of course, it wasn't exactly like that, but it was close enough. He was definitely trying to scare you and get under your skin. "I'd like to address what you said last session."

"And what did I say last session? I don't recall." He smirked, leaning back in his chair.

"You know fully well."

"Well, if you know, why don't you say it? Why make me say it?"

"I want you to say it."

"Why?"

"Because I want you to say it out loud. It makes you acknowledge your thoughts."

"Fine. I wanted to kill my brother and then kill my father."

"Why did you want to kill your brother?"

"You wouldn't understand."

"I can try if you explain it." You gave a soft smile, your voice also going a bit soft. It was unusual for Dabi. He wasn't used to the 'soft voice' or tenderness of it all, he was used to hard-asses.

He groaned and rolled his eyes, looking away from you. You remained silent, giving him time to decide for himself if he wanted to speak or not. You knew that it would probably be a big issue or memory for him, and you didn't want to push it too much.

"He was my father's greatest creation." He groaned, his voice low as if he didn't want to admit it or even say it.

"You say 'creation' as if he isn't human." You noticed, writing it down in your notes without looking away from him.

"None of us are human to my father."

"You have more siblings than just your brother?"

"I'm the oldest. Then my sister, my brother, and my fathers greatest creation."
