Vegeta adjusts his body and turns to his side...

Vegeta then wakes up and looks around the dark room. He sits up when he hears the door open and a voice say, "Is he okay?" and his eyes widen. He swings his feet off the bed, ready to bolt towards the person he knew he heard.

"He should be doing better..." Another voice said, and he teared up.

"Jeice?" Vegeta whispers to himself, slowly getting off the bed before walking towards the door. But, before he could open it himself, the door opens slowly.

Jeice looks up to see Vegeta and he smiles, tears stinging his eyes, "Hey there, Vegeta..." He whispers as he opens the door fully now. Vegeta looks at Jeice with wide eyes and he looks to his left to see Jeice's partner, Burter. To seeing these two, He jumps at them and hugs them both.

Burter looked in shock, but Jeice immediately hugged Vegeta back. When Burter saw this, he gently gave in and rubbed Vegeta's back. He knew how rude he was to the Saiyan, but he'd do anything now to see his best friend and Vegeta happy.

"How are you feeling..." Jeice asks as he smiles at Vegeta, tears still flooding his eyes as he sees his friend standing instead of laying on the floor covered in blood.

"I'm... Fine." Vegeta says with a small pause. Jeice looks up at him and sighs, "Vegeta, why?"

This catches Vegeta off guard, and he cocks his head to the side, "What do you mean... What are you talking about?" Vegeta asks, worry in his eyes.

What could Jeice be talking about? What did he mean? Did he see Vegeta before... Did he feel his energy the last time he saw his own body with Jeice, blood everywhere on Vegeta while Jeice cradled the injured prince? What? What could he be talking about!?

Jeice hugs Vegeta again and squeezes him gently, "Why did you cut again..." Jeice says, making Vegeta widen his eyes.

"Wha..." Vegeta trailed of his word, looking in concern and confusion.

"In the shower... The razor." Jeice says, now making Vegeta shiver. Vegeta was on the verge of tears; Vegeta backs up and looks up to see a sad Jeice and a concerned Burter.

"How did you..." Vegeta asks, trailing off again as he furrows his brows. Only now panting softly as he looks at his shaky gloved hands and down his arms, "How do you know..."

Jeice sighs and takes a few steps closer to Vegeta and hugs him, "I saw." Jeice says. When his friend says that he tears up.

"But... But you're dead! How... How could you see me..." Vegeta goes silent, tears streaming down his cheeks as he shakes violently.

.... Everything was silent for a bit, only soldiers were heard in the background. Some were talking and some were just walking. That is all Vegeta, Jeice, and Burter heard until Burter decided to break the silence.

"Vegeta, even though we may be dead, we can still... See you. We decided that we will see you once a week, if not, we will see you a couple days a month." Burter says, giving the hint of what he and Jeice discussed over time.

"But..." Vegeta gets cut off by Burter and Jeice's hand rubbing his arm, "Vegeta, please understand," Jeice says as he looks at Vegeta with a pleading look.

"Vegeta, Jeice, and I care for you. Okay?" Burter says, catching Vegeta's attention now. Burter looks at Jeice and Jeice smiles.

"We care about you, why wouldn't we want to watch over you?" Jeice asks, making sure that he looks serious. Because he was...

~Later~

Vegeta sat on the bed, talking to Jeice and Burter. Burter would chuckle here and there as Vegeta and Jeice talked non-stop about the events that had happened. Jeice even mentioned embarrassing things that happen with Burter, only making Vegeta cackle at Burter. Jeice laughed and looked at Burter, Burter blushing from embarrassment.

"I've missed this, Vegeta." Jeice says with a small smile and chuckle. He patted Burter's shoulder because he was getting tired, and he was dozing off.

"I did too... I miss you..." Vegeta says softly, looking at the now sleeping Burter. Vegeta shuts his eyes and sighs, "I've missed you so much ..."

Jeice smiles and sighs heavily this time. Vegeta looks at Jeice, confused, and he opens his mouth, "Are you okay?"

Jeice nods, "I'm fine Vegeta. But" Jeice looks over at Burter then back at Vegeta. And the look on Jeice's face worries Vegeta and he tenses up. Waiting for Jeice to say something. Anything...

"We need to leave you now... Our time is up for today. But I really enjoyed being with you again." Jeice smiles and hugs Vegeta once more before laying down with Burter. Before he could close his eyes, Vegeta grabs his arm.

"No... No! You can't! I-I finally got to see you again, I can't- "Vegeta starts to tear up, when he wanted Jeice to say something he didn't mean that. Anything but that. He looked back at Jeice and Jeice had an expression that showed he was sorry for leaving him so soon.

"Vegeta, please... If I stay here longer, I won't see you next week." Jeice says as he caresses Vegeta's hand that held him tight.

"Please, Jeice... Please no!" Vegeta says desperately before Jeice vanished.

Vegeta looks at the spot he last saw Jeice in, and he loses it. Tears soaking his cheeks as he mumbles words, he himself can't seem to understand or hear.

Vegeta's eyes open wide when he feels his body get shaken violently, only causing him to panic. Vegeta didn't know, or he completely forgot, that Goku was still there by his side. Worry and concern in the younger Saiyan's eyes.

"Vegeta? Vegeta!" Goku shouts, soon seeing his friend's eyes open in shock. He sighs and pulls Vegeta into a hug, wrapping his arms around Vegeta's torso. Pulling him close as he rubs Vegeta's back.

"Shhh, you had a nightmare..." Goku says as he now rocks the prince in his arms, but... Vegeta didn't see it as a nightmare. It was a dream come true. He finally saw his friend again, and he left. Making him feel alone until he sees his rival, Kakarot.

"Kakarot...?" Vegeta says, sounding like a question, and tilts his head slightly, "Yeah Getes?" Goku replies with, now looking at the older Saiyan he holds.

"What did you... See?" Vegeta says as he rests his hands on Goku's chest, creating distance. His eyes wide in worry or... Shock?

It was silent for a few seconds, only creating more worry for Vegeta. Making him think his rival saw everything, or most of it. As Vegeta looked at Goku, waiting for a response, Goku only looked away. Avoiding eye contact with the prince.

"You were mumbling things, like you were talking to someone... And you had a smile on your face before it vanished and... You started crying." Goku explains, worry in his eyes as he looks down at the prince.

"O-...Oh."

"Vegeta... You need rest... C'mon." Goku says as he lays down, bringing the prince down with him. Wrapping his arm around the princes' hip and holding him close. Vegeta only stares at the wall that was behind his rival.

~Silence~

Goku managed to calm the prince, once again, and make him sleep. Goku smiles down at Vegeta and rubs his back again, rocking gently... Vegeta just looked so calm as he slept.

Goku starts to remove himself from the bed and rub Vegeta's back and hips so as not to wake up the Saiyan in slumber. Making sure to slowly get off the bed and...

"Sleep, Vegeta... Shhh..." Goku says, achieving his mission and smiles. He walks towards the door and opens it slowly. Stepping out, looking back into the room at the Saiyan prince. Vegeta smiles softly once more and closes the door.

"I'm here for you, Vegeta." Goku whispers as he now walks away from Vegeta's room.
