I got in my car and started to head to Benihana on Parkway.

I thought about Jalen and hoped he wasn't mad at me for canceling on him last minute.

He'll be okay.

I looked down at my phone and felt a little nervous when I realized I was close to Benihana. I didn't know what to expect from eating with West , like were we just gonna have a meal in awkward silence?

Why did I agree to do this?

I drove for a few more minutes and pulled up into the parking lot. I spotted West's black hellcat and parked a couple of rows behind him not wanting to seem weird.

I thought about whether I should just get out and walk-up to his car or text him and let him know I'm here.

Girl, you overthinking this.

I saw West get out of his car, and I decided to just get out.

I got out of my car, and West started walking up to me, and I immediately noticed that his eyes were low and he smelled like weed.

"You smell like weed."

He looked at me with a dumb founded expression, "So?"

I crossed my arms, "What do you mean so? I'm not going in there with you smellin' like a junkie."

He paused and looked at me before laughing "Girl, bring yo ass on these people not worried about me."

He started walking towards the entrance of the restaurant and I followed behind him.

We entered the restaurant and I noticed a lot of people in the waiting area.

I immediately groaned. I don't know why I didn't think about the fact that it's a Saturday night.

West walked up to the hostess stand and asked how long the wait was.

"45 minutes?" I questioned when I heard the answer but I saw West patting down his pockets.

He pulled out a stack of cash and handed the teenage girl a hundred dollars.

"Oh my gosh I didn't even notice you guys had a reservation follow me." She said while leading us towards a table.

I looked at West and laughed while shaking my head and he let out a light chuckle.

She sat us at a hibachi grill with two other people.

"Enjoy guys."

We sat down and I turned to look at West "Do you always do that?"

He shrugged "Depends on how I'm feelin."

"Mmm."

I got on my phone and scrolled on Instagram trying to pass time while waiting for the chef.

I heard some across the table say "Excuse me," but I didn't know if they were talking to me so I minded my business.
