Adrien, Kagami, and Juleka were having a normal conversation about their lives while Gabriel and Tomoe were busy discussing the arrangements for the Diamond Dance Ball. Once everything was settled between Gabriel and Tomoe they managed to overhear the teens' conversation. When the topic of Marinettte and Adrien's relationship popped up, the two were taken aback by the discovery.

Tomoe: "I am very disappointed Gabriel san. We had plans for our kin to unite and form a bond with each other."

Gabriel: "I am just as surprised as you are Tsrugi san."

Tomoe: "I refuse to allow this to happen, we need to pull the reigns on their decisions."

Gabriel: "Now let's be patient Tsrugi san. We may have to settle this in a more suitable way."

Tomoe: "What are you suggesting?"

Gabriel knew that time was ruining out for him and he remembered his promise that he made for his son. So he sighed and voiced his method.

Gabriel: "If we object and restrict our kins' decisions and force them to do this expectation that won't settle with them, they will not only rebel , but they will do something risky and put themselves in jeopardy. We need to see what they want in this plan. I'll try see if  Adrien sill has any feelings for Kagami while you do the same for your daughter."

Tomoe: "I see and I will do everything I can to make this happen."

Gabriel: "But if things won't work out between the two of them, then we will just stick with making them become public icons."

Tomoe: "I'll agree with your plan, however you need remember that I have provided alot for you and I will need another thing from you."

Gabriel sighed and asked whether request was.

Tomoe: "Once you are finished fulfilling your wish with the Miraculous, I too would want to make a wish for myself. Am I clear?"

Gabriel: "Yes, you are."

Once Kagami and Tomoe departed, it was just Adrien, Juleka, and his father.

Gabriel: "I wasn't aware that you and Kagami had broken up. You two looked so good for each other. Do care to explain to me what lead to this?"

Adrien: "Things didn't work out for us. And in all honesty, we were becoming more distant by the days having different ambitions."

Gabriel: "To be honest are you sure you still don't see a chance for you and Kagami's relationship blooming again?you underestimate the possibilities of the bond you have with Kagami. I always thought of the two of you to be...well, the same design."

Adrien: "There's no-one better than Marinette, Dad! If only you knew her! She's generous, funny, creative, brave! Mom told me about how you met. You too came from two different worlds, but that didn't stop you from loving each other! Why shouldn't it be the same for Marinette and me?"

Gabriel was a little touched by what his son had said.

Gabriel's pov: "If this is true and my son had found someone who he deems to be the one, then I need to allow it. After all if I were to forbid it he may pull a stunt. And I have also made a promise to make him happy."

The man let out a sigh and said something which surprised Adrien.

Gabriel: "Alright Adrien, if she is like that then I'll allow it. But I would like to have a better interaction with her just to gain a better understanding of how she is with you."

Adrien: "Thank you Dad."

Gabriel: "Don't mention it my son."

As Gabriel left the kitchen, Juleka smirked at Adrien.
