"You are late," Yibo said as he looked at Zhan, he had been waiting for him outside the library, while Zhan just rolled his eyes and said nothing.

Yibo just shook his head, and the two walked in, they were met with a beautiful woman; she was a petite woman, with black hair, wearing spectacles, She looked like a nerd; she had freckles on her cheeks and smiled when she looked a Yibo and Zhan.

"Welcome, I was waiting for the two of you." she said and they started to talk, it was usually Yibo who was doing the talking and all and then Nicole said, "You should meet Zhehan, he is the leader of the debate club and I am sure that you are going to like him."

Zhan nodded and then looked at Yibo, "Do you know him?"

Yibo said, "I have met a few times and have exchanged greetings with him, he is a nice person, but I don't know him that well."

Zhan nodded, "I see." They waited there for some time and decided that they would go after meeting with Zhehan, but Zhehan didn't come since he was running late and Zhan had to attend his lectures so, they left without meeting him.

Once they reached the class, Zhan noticed that this time the class was not empty, he sighed and just walked inside the class, but he was glad that this time he was not alone and Yibo was with him, by his side, he did see Grady and Liam staring at him but he just ignored them.

"Have you brought my notebook back?" Yibo asked and Zhan nodded and gave his notebook back to him.

"Did you copy everything?"

"Yeah, I did," Zhan said, Yibo smiled and then gave him another notebook and Zhan said, "You really have all the notes prepared huh."

Yibo shrugged and said, "Perks of coming regularly to the class."

Zhan rolled his eyes and just looked through the notes again, "You have good handwriting."

"Thanks for the praise." The two chatted for a while and Zhan didn't even notice the stares anymore on them, and the teacher arrived a few minutes later.

The day went rather peacefully and while they were on their way home, Zhan said, "Give me your phone number."

"Sure." The two exchanged their phone numbers before they resumed walking, suddenly Zhan bumped into someone, and annoyed he looked at the person.

He saw that it was someone that he didn't really like, the two stared at each other as Zhan said, "What where you are going, Simon."

Simon laughed and said, "I can say the same things about you freak."

Zhan was pissed as he walked ahead and the Simon took a step towards as well but Yibo caught his hand and said, "Hey let's not fight."

Simon smirked and said, "Yeah, listen to him, it is for your own good."

"I can very well decide what's good for me and what's not, I don't want your unwanted opinion."

Simon smirked, "you know what else is unwanted? Your existence."

Zhan was ready to fight him but this time Yibo just dragged him away from there and Zhan finally yanked his hand back and said, "Let go!"

Yibo stumbled back and said, "Why are you always so grumpy? It's not necessary to fight every time someone says something to you, it's not that bad to just walk away!"

Zhan stared at him, "Just stop giving me lecture! I don't want any of that!"

"Well, I am not giving you a lecture I am just trying to help!"

"I didn't ask for it!" Zhan yelled and Yibo flinched, "Just because we sit together and talk and share notes does not make us best of friends, stop trying to be my friend! You are not and you never will be" Zhan said, he was done having friends. Being betrayed by the people he had loved and called best friends, was enough for him to not trust anyone for a long period of time.

He didn't want friends anymore, because he just couldn't trust anyone.

Yibo looked hurt when he heard that and he looked at Zhan before sighing, "I am sorry, I have no idea what you are going through and I should not have started to lecture you... I just didn't want you to fight... it will only get you in trouble and no one else."

Zhan felt like a jerk for being rude and yelling at Yibo, he shouldn't have done that, but he couldn't help it, nowadays he is always angry if not angry then frustrated or stressed.

Zhan clenched his fist as he stared at Yibo before he walked away.

Things were not always like this, once he used to be one of those popular students, around whom the world revolved, he had a big group of friends and he was the center of it.

Weekend parties were a regular thing, and alcohol and casual flings were normal, his life was normal, at least outside the house it was normal.

Home was hell but he had never thought that one day the demons of that hell would ruin his college life as well, leaving him alone even when he was surrounded by people. He had never thought that the people he considered close to him would turn their backs on him when he was at his lowest.

Be it best friends relatives or cousins.

As he walked his phone suddenly rang and he saw that it was his mother's call, he picked up the phone and he could hear sobbing from the other side as she said, "Zhan... can you come and pick me up? I don't feel good."

"Mom... where are you?"

His mother gave him the address and Zhan wasted no time and went to that place, once he reached the parlor, he rushed inside and saw some women laughing they all looked at him and stopped laughing, and then he found his mother sitting in the corner crying, there was a scarf over her head.

He saw his aunt and her daughter as well as her son there, but he ignored them and rushed to his mother he sat before her and said, "What happened ?"

His aunt smiled and said, "Oh, Zhan it's nothing its just the staff was new and so she made a mistake because of which your mother's hair was ruined so to correct it, they had to cut it a little short."

Zhan's heart sank when he heard that and he slowly removed the scarf and saw that his mother's long and beautiful hairs were now short and they only reached the shoulder.

And his mother was devasted and so was he as he knew how much his mother loved her hair.

His aunt smiled and said, "It's not that bad your mother looks rather good."

His cousins spoke, "Just like cute little pig."

They all laughed, and Zhan had enough as he stood up and glared at them his aunt looked at him and said, "Don't be mad it's not our fault, your mother came here on her own, things like these happen all the time."

His cousin said, "Yes, but I am afraid she can't come to the party anymore."

His Aunt pretended to be sad and said, "Well no one wanted to see her there anyways and after this, I am afraid not anymore."

Zhan smiled as he got up and took a chewing gum from his bag and chewed it for a while and said, "I am very sorry that my mother won't be attending your birthday anymore aunt, but I want to give you a gift on her behalf."

His aunt smirked, "Oh I wonder what it is? I am sure that you can't even afford the things I like."

"Of course not, but I can definitely give you the gift you deserve like this," he said as he spits out the chewing gum and stuck it on his aunt's newly done hair which made her scream if that was not enough he turned around and looked around and thankfully he found a wax heater and there was wax in it and he grabbed it and shoved on his sister's hair and with a last punch to his cousin brother's face he grabbed his mother and went away from there.
