9. A day went well.

That day Yibo and Zhan went to the library again and there they finally met Zhehan who smiled at them, "Nicole told me about you. Hi, my name is Zhang Zhehan."

Zhehan shook hands with Zhan, who gave him a smile and said, "I know you."

"I know you too. I mean, who doesn't." Zhehan said and Zhan smiled and said, "I guess it is because I am the talk of the town?"

"That's another reason, but no, you are way more popular than before, these little gossips are adding more to your popularity. Honestly, no one really cares."

Zhan smiled when he heard that, while Zhehan said, "Let's get to the main topic, you really want to join the club?"

"Yes."

"But aren't you the part of the football and other sports club?"

"I am."

"Then are you sure you can handle this one as well?"

"I can after I have more time on my plate since I don't have to party every weekend." Zhan said, Zhehan laughed and said, "Well then welcome to the club."

"Thanks," Zhan said.

"That went surprisingly well." Zhan said, as he walked beside Yibo, who gave him a smile and said, "I am glad. But where are we going?" 

Zhan said, "I am going to meet my coach, I hope that he will take me back, in the team, and after that, I will have to visit the badminton club as well."

Yibo laughed, "That's great."

"But what about you?"

"What about me?"

"You have been encouraging me to take part in the clubs and whatnot, what about you? Aren't you going to take part in any?"

Yibo replied, "I mostly take part in the volunteering work, you know I do most of the work behind the scenes."

"I see." 

They soon met with the coach and thankfully he was still as friendly as before, "it's nice to see you again Zhan."

Zhan gave him a smile, the coach Mr. Brown was always a strict and well-disciplined person, but he and Zhan had a good bond, the Coah would scold and punish him many times for his reckless behavior but the coach always valued his skills as well.

"Thank you coach, I was wondering if I can still come to the team?"

The coach smiled and said, "You have missed a lot of practice sessions."

"I know, I promise I will make up for it."

"Well, if you promise not to drag the team down then you are surely welcome back, the team missed you."

"I doubt they did."

"Oh trust me they did, you might be an arrogant person but you were a really good player."

Zhan laughed, ", Thanks, coach."

"There is a practice session today after the college ends, join us then."

"Sure."

After talking to the coach, when they were walking back, they suddenly came face to face with Simon, this time Zhan was the first one to speak, "Thanks for the other day."

Simon raised an eyebrow, "mention not, what were you talking about to the coach?"

"Oh, I am joining the team again."

Simon suddenly smiled, "Really you are? That was unexpected I thought you would still be busy fighting around like a mad dog."

"Oh please, once I come back I swear I will outshine you again."

"In your fucking dreams," Simon replied.

"We'll see about that."

"Well, that went surprisingly well," Zhan said as he and Yibo sat down in their place.

But suddenly they noticed Brenna entering the class and she gave Zhan the nastiest glare Zhan just ignored her and looked at Yibo again, who was looking at Brenna and then at Zhan, "I can't believe that you dated her. Why?"

Zhan laughed, "I don't know, perhaps I found her attractive back then, who knew that she would be a whore."

"For how long were you, Grady, and Liam best friends?"

"Ten years maybe."

Yibo's eyes widened as he said, "And they betrayed you like that? wasn't that brutal?"

Zhan became quiet as he looked down and said, "Well... the day I had found out Brenna and Grady together, I was shattered, because it was the same day my dad had been arrested, but you know I would have forgiven him.

I believed in bros before hoes, but after that what they did to me was very brutal, they revealed some of my most personal and private thoughts and feelings to everyone and that was really devastating. And what's more, they actually laughed at my pain, made fun of my mom who treated them like her own sons."

"Bastards," Yibo said as he clenched his fists and stared ahead, he looked really mad as he glared at nothing.

Zhan suddenly raised his finger and kept it on Yibo's forehead, "why are you getting angry?"

Yibo grabbed his hand and removed his finger from his own forehead before he said, "They must be really very jealous of you, but they shouldn't have done that. That's cruel."

Zhan sighed and said nothing after that and then Yibon said, "By the way why did you agree to the training after the classes? you are still sick!"

"Well, it was very generous of my coach to allow me to come back after missing two months of all the practices and training, I have to prove myself."

"But Zhan... this can take a toll on your body." Yibo stared outside from the window, "the weather is changing as well and it is becoming colder."

"It's alright, I will handle, it. I am not that weak."

Once the classes were over, Yibo and Zhan bid each other farewell before they went their way, while Zhan went to the practice, Yibo went to his job at the grocery store.

Time passed, and while Yibo was working while setting up the items in the grocery store, he suddenly heard the sound of rain, he immediately got and checked outside only to see that it was raining really heavily.

He clenched his fist and grabbed his phone, he called Zhan but the latter did not asnwer his call, so he called four times more, but Zhan did not answer, "fuck!" he said, "A-Xiang, please take care of the store, I have to go somewhere."

A-Xiang a young girl came in the view and said, "where are you going? it's raining so hard."

"I will be back, I have to somewhere important." with that Yibo grabbed his raincoat and ran outside the store.
