My Last Nerve

Chapter 2 Why Me?

The bell to 3rd period was now ringing. I needed to talk to Abby bad so I told her to meet me in the girls' bathroom. When I walked into the bathroom, Abby was in there. "You needed me?" Abby asked confused.
"Yea, Maya is going to be in the talent show right?" Abby nodded yes. "Well, so am I. I'll sing 'Aftertaste' by Shawn Mendes to get my point out," I informed Abby.
"NO YOU CAN'T! You know how Maya is!" Abby yelled at me. "What about me?" Maya said as she was eavesdropping on us. "H-how long have you been there?!?" I asked shocked. Maya laughed at me "Long enough to hear my name once. Is there anything else I should know?" Abby and I glanced back and forth. "No I just thought that we should tell a teacher but never mind," I lied to Maya. "Oh ok, bye!" Maya waved to us before she left. "Let's get out of here before we are late for class," Abby and I agreed but right when we walked out there was a surprise waiting for us.
Lacey and Casey, Maya's best friends were standing there. Next thing I know, we were in the ground and my hand was hurting. "You ok?" Abby asked me. "No, my hand hurts," I said crying. Abby helped me up, and the bell rang. "Abby, what happened?" I asked confused and holding my hand. "Lacey hit you with a brick and Casey pushed us down. Let me bring you to the office," Abby told me trying to help.
We finally got to the office. I'm not usually in the office so the secretary asked me "What's wrong? I never see you in here," I didn't know what to say. I was to speechless. "In the hall, Kadence got hit with a brick by Lacey Scott and we both were pushed by Casey Taylor," Abby said since I was silent from the pain. "Wow!" she said looking at it. "It's definitely broken. Why don't we call mom?"
I froze when I heard that. HAND BROKEN?!? MOM?!? "No you can't call my mom! She'll get mad and who knows what will happen," I freaked out. "Please don't call my mom, please," I said hoping she would listen to me. "Even if we don call mom she will find out anyway." she said making me confused. "What? How will she find out?" She and Abby were now staring at me like I am dumb. "We need to bandage it up," she said. The principal came out and we explained everything. They bandaged it up and then Mrs. Anna,the principal, said "I'm going to call mom she needs to know." NO SHE CAN'T CALL MOM!!!
"I called mom, she is on her way," Mrs. Anna said coming back by us."
A few minutes later my mom was here. She came running up to me worried. "What happened?" she asked me. I thought of an excuse to tell. "I fell off of the monkey bars and broke my wrist," I said lying. "What really happened?" I had to tell her, she gave me the tell the truth look. "Lacey Scott hit me with a brick, and Casey Taylor pushed us down!" I shouted really fast about to cry.
There was an awkward silence between all of us because my mom looked like she was going to kill Lacey Scott. "I want to sign Kadence out," my mom said not making eye contact with anyone. "Ok just sign here,"the secretary said handing my mom a piece of paper. She signed it. "Ok now let's goooo mom," I said getting impatient. "I just called both girls into the office," the principal said. My mom stopped. "No, I want to talk to them," she said. Oh even better MY MOM TALKING TO CACEY AND LACEY!!!
    I got my phone out and texted Shawn right away.
         Kadence: Can't meet you at recess broken wrist and signed out. :(
       Shawn: What how?!? Are you ok?
      Kadence: Lacey hit me with a brick but I'm ok
      Shawn: So when can I talk to u??
     Kadence: Tomorrow?
    Shawn: No its important. Can I come to ur house?
   Kadence: Sure it's *******
   Shawn: I'll be there after school asap
  Kadence: ok bye don't want you in trouble
   Shawn:  Bye :( I would get in trouble for u tho.
   Kadence: thx but u should go

   The door opened and they walked in. Here goes nothing.
