Two of Pyrrhia's two moons were full, and the Scorpion Den was a mess. Not a bad kind of mess. The kind of mess that was caused by a lot of partying, like tonight. Throughout the streets and buildings in the Scorpion Den, hundreds of dragons danced, talked, sang, and laughed.
There was an odd one out though. A single Sandwing, who's scales were so pale they almost looked white, was extremely nervous. The two visible moons looked like a pair of glowing eyes staring down on him, and it made him even more nervous. As he thought more and more about this, he hurried up a bit more, wishing he could hide somewhere.
Finally, he reached his destination in the center of the Scorpion Den, right next to an oasis, one of the biggest ones in the whole desert. Clumsily landing, he ran into the nearest of a series of tents with faded colors. As he walked in, he about jumped out of his scales at the sound of a dragon right in front of him attempting to sing, and failing horribly. Before he could stop himself, he burst out into laughter.
"What, do you have a problem with my singing," a similarly colored dragon asked.
"Oh no, no, it's fine, I'm sure everyone loves to here your off tune singing." He frowned at him, but then both dragons burst out into laughter.
"I know I'm a terrible singer, but come on? Why aren't you out in the streets pretending to dance like a professional?"
"Hey, I swear I know how to dance!"
Trying to avoid an argument, the other Sandwing pointed out of the tent at a caged in, sandstone building.
"Did you notice our new friend?" Inside of the caged in area was a scarlet red Skywing, with silver under scales. "We had to luck him up when he was disturbing the peace," he said, chuckling. "Kept saying he was a human, and a person, and a scavenger like an idiot. We're planning on letting him out once he starts behaving. You here that?!?! If you behave, we'll give you a cookie!"
"I know what your doing! You're just changing the subject to get me to be paying attention to something else!!!"
"Well, if you really can dance then show me at the party. I'm going, so you might want to hurry!!!"
As both the Sandwings went racing into the madness in the streets, there was still the strange Skywing in the cage. He was scrawny and under fed, and he looked like he had seen better days. Now, he stared out through the opening in the building, up at the two staring moons. He sighed and sat down on the floor. Then, when the partying was at its loudest, and the white light of the moons shined into the room he whispered to himself, in a scared, cautious, confused way.
"There's supposed to be one moon. There's only supposed to be only one moon. Why are there more?"
