The sun was shining down from above by the time Sunny arrived at the Scorpion Den at noon.  She was in a good mood today.  She was planning on celebrating both Nocturnal's supposed birthday, which made him twelve, along with the day Thorn had become the new Sandwing queen.  Thorn was planning on doing the same thing at her palace, which made everyone happier.  It was like a sign that everything would be alright, and that the world was becoming a much more peaceful place.

As she walked into the Scorpion Den, she noted that the party she had heard about last night was still going on.  Hundreds of dragons were singing and partying, while others were taking advantage of the excitement, and selling as much food and merchandise as possible.

Sunny quickly ran to the center of the den.  She had some outclaw friends which she was planning on meeting.  Maybe they would be able to give her some advice for the party she had planned.

She was dismayed to see that there were only a few outclaws at the time, and most of them were out in the shopping areas making sure nothing bad happened instead of being by the oasis.  Luckily, she knew one of the dragons that was present.

"Six claws," she said with enthusiasm, running over to the older dragon.

"Long time no see," he said, shaking her hand.

She made a funny face, and shivered when they starting strolling through the camp.  "I'm not trying to be rude about this, but I don't think I'll ever get used to the whole six clawed dragon hand thing.  So, where'd everybody go?"

Six claws chuckled.  "Sorry you wanted to see all of us today, but most of the outclaws went to celebrate with Thorn.  Even with her being the queen for twelve years, they still see her as their leader.  I mean I guess she is, since she is the Sandwing queen."  He syed, looking at the outclaws that were walking around the oasis, keeping guard.  "I'm still not used to this whole leader thing.  Ever since Thorn has had her new role, and gave me her original job, all the outclaws have come asking me all the questions.  I get that I'm supposed to tell them what to do, but I just don't think I give off the same sense of strength that she does."

"You'll get the hang of it," Sunny said.  "Thorn got used to being a queen, my friends and I got used to being teachers, so you can definitely be a leader.  Don't try to be like Thorn though.  If you try that, who knows what everyone will think of you."

"Thanks for the reassurance and advice," he said walking off into the den.  "Sorry, but I've got to go check and see that the party hasn't gotten out of hand.  I'll be back in a few minutes probably.  You'll probably find Sandstone somewhere around here.  Last I saw him, he was at the other end of the Oasis."  With that, Sixclaws waved, crouched, and leaped into the air, flying over the Scorpion Den.

Sunny wandered in between the faded colored tents, until she saw a near white Sandwing that was pacing around a prison looking structure.

          "Hey Sandstone, how's it going?"

Sandstone looked confused at first, until he realized who was talking to him, and then he waved.

"What was that face for?"  She tried to stop herself from laughing, but failed miserably.  "You looked like a one year old dragonet trying to understand the concept of reading."

Sandstone syed.  "I don't know to many dragons, so when someone calls my name, it's kind of weird for me."

In most cases, Sunny would have given a sympathetic look and a pat on the back, but her attention had went to the strange red and silver Skywing in the building next to her.  He looked extremely underfed, and looked like he was trying to sleep, but was failing miserably.
