(Bill's POV)

We made it back to our home and walked inside. I look at her and she is playing with her hands. This is the second time she left without permission. I sighed, I knew this day was coming when we came out of the closet. I guess it is time that I start down some ground rules for her.

I lock the door as I hear Marie trying to sneak back to the resting place.

"I don't think so. Sit," I said pointing to the living room as she sighed and walked in as I followed.

"Two times Marie. In less than 8 hours you have run off twice." I stress

"I went out I didn't do anything wrong. I'm not nee anymore Bill. I can take care of myself-"

You need to be protected Marie, that's all I'm trying to do." I tell her.

"No, you are smothering me! This was my first night meeting a vampire other than you, my first night feeling alive and not trapped!" She says. I looked at her.

"Marie, you aren't like other vampires. You're not as fast, you're not as strong. When I made you, I took the responsibility of protecting you. Doing what I thought was best." I said not reacting to her outburst. She always could get explosive, but I've learned to handle it.

"It is not fair! I had to live decades in the shadows! I did not ask to be a vampire!" She shouts at me. "You cannot keep me locked away, I'd rather die than stay locked up!"

"We will start to go out, Also I will consider letting you go out alone," I tell her She grins and throws her arms around me.

"Thank you! I promise you will not regret this!" She promises me, but I have a feeling I will.

"Yeah. Alright. Now get changed. You need to rest." I said as she went up to the bath.

I sighed as I got in, laying down on my back, eventually feeling her come in and lay beside me. It was cramped, but I don't think either of us minded.

"I like that Sookie girl... I think I can finally have a friend that ain't you.." Marie muttered as she closed her eyes.

"I like her too, she is a lot like you, her scent is very familiar," I tell her.

"I am glad you like her, I am going to have a sleepover with her!"

"Well- be kinda hard when you're up at night and she's asleep at night," I said as I ran my hand through her hair.

"..I guess.." she said as she hummed softly. "I like Eric too..he's nice. Scary, but nice."

Now that was a way I never expected anyone to describe Eric

"That is good, Now let's rest, we will be doing stuff tomorrow." He says.

She giggles at that and curls in on him. They both fall asleep.

(Next night)

I walked her out of the house, holding her hand. "You're not to go with anyone. What are you gonna say if some man or woman comes up to you and tells you to follow them?"

"That my dad told me not to talk to strangers." She laughed as I looked at her.

"Im not that old."

"Actually, you're older. Great great grandfather age." She laughed.

"Keep that up and you'll be drinking B negative for the next week," I said as I smiled and picked her up to rush to Merlottes.

This worked out for me as I would be able to do my job and keep an eye on Marie at the same time. I put her down before we got in as she walked in with a smile with me following close behind once I was sure those rats weren't nearby.

All eyes land on us and Marie sits down at a booth ready to get some food. "The burger was really good!" She gushes. "I want to try something else though."

I smile and Sookie walks up to us. "Nice to see both of you again."

"Sookie, I was wondering if there was anything I could do for you since I am in your debt," I tell her.

I could see others looking at us as Marie got up as walked around, walking over to a pool table where a couple of other guys stood.

"Sure. My grandmother would love to meet you. Oh! That reminds me. Can I talk to you after work? I have a favor to ask you." she tells me.

"Of course. After all, I am in your debt." I tell her.

"It's not a favor for me -- for my grandmother. If, if you'll be up... well, I guess you will be. Would you mind meetin' me around the back of the bar when I get off at... probably around 1:30?"

"I'd be delighted. Do you realize that every person in this establishment is staring at us right now?"

"Oh, they are looking at me my brother is in trouble with the law. Did you by chance know Maudette?" She asks.

"I am afraid the make does not ring a bell," I tell her and she nods her head. "Oh if you are going to be staying for some time would you like Sam to order some true blood."

I nod. "Marie would like that," I tell her. "O positive and A Negative if you can."

She nods and I look over to Marie.

(Rene's POV)

"You suck rené"

"Man shut up." I laughed as I aimed for the next ball.

"What y'all doing?" I hear behind me as we turn around to see one of the vampires and she smiles happily.

Frick, she was downright adorable. "Playing pool!" Hoyt says blushing. "Wanna join."

"Really!?" She asks excitedly and I shrug.

Fuck she is so freaking adorable.

We set up a new game and she looks at it. She never played before. "How do I?" She asks.

I get behind her and help her line up. "Don't use too much strength, you and me we are the solids. Do not get the black 8 ball that goes last. We need to get all our balls in."

She nodded and I lined up with her and we got one in. She grins and hugs me. She was not as cold as I thought she would be. That was something.

"I got it! Ya see see that? I got it in BILL! I got one!" she called out as others looked over as Bill just gave a thumbs up as she smiled.

"Now what?"

"Well, ya go again," I said.

"Which ball do I do now?"

"We'll try and get the next subsequent number," I said.

She nods her head but misses this one and this is how the night started. Sookie comes over with food.

"Here you go, Marie," Sookie says and I am confused.

"Oh, it smells so good!" She says and digs in.

"Wait you are a vampire!" Hoyt says shocked. "How are you eating?"

"Ah, Marie is a unique vampire she is able to do some things humans can still," Sookie says as Marie smiles.

"Hehe." She giggles and I stare, she just may be the exception to the rule.

"Mmm- course I don't get nothing from it- but heck, leave me out in the sun if I'm giving up food." She laughed before looking at us.

"Mm, well you boys have yourselves a good night. One of you better win for me~ okay?" She said before walking off. Hoyt leaned on the pool stick as we watched her leave and walk over with her food toward Bill.

"Fuck she sure is something else," Hoyt says.

I stare, for a fanger. She sure is something. I may want her to be mine
