Date With Arlene and Rene

(Marie's POV)

I made it to Merlottes I made plans with Arlene and Rene to have dinner with them. I smile as I walk in and they wave me down. It had been about a week and I had not eaten any human food so I could enjoy dinner with them. I wanted to feel normal again, and having them offer that to me, I was more than happy to go. I got all dressed up and everything, it's been a long time since I was invited out to dinner for a couples night so to speak, but neither Bill nor Sookie could attend so it was just me and them. I did not mind, I may even make friends with them! I smile at them.

"Thanks for coming cher," Rene tells her. "Me and Arlene want to talk to you about something."

I blinked at that. Someone had something important to talk about..with me?

My face lit up as I sat down.

"Of course! I'm happy to help!"

"Well me and Rene here, we both like you a lot and wondering if we could go on dates with you," Arlene says.

(Wow they really shot their shot)

I blinked once then twice. I was a little confused. Dates usually are relegated to a romantic couple. But I may be out of the loop with some of the new usages

"You mean like hanging out? Like when the girls would all get together?" I asked smiling.

"Not quite, more like mmmm courtship." He says and Marie's face goes a slight pink as she flushes her heart would be racing if she could Courtship... her? Why. She'd never been courted before- never once- not in all her years, vampire or human. She felt so- excited, confused, scared, happy? She couldn't even pick an emotion.

"Like- you mean like- like romantic or-" she didn't know how to breach the subject. It was easier for her to do the flirting rather than actually have to deal with anything serious because she could never tell if it was real or not.

(Bill rn who was courting her the entire time: ....)

"Yes romantic," Arlene says and Marie swore she would die again right here and now oh this is so real! They were asking her for romance

She didn't really know if it would work out given that Arlene seemed a little more hesitant around other vampires like Bill, and given she was a vampire...

Or how it would work out because of only being out at night, with Arlene having a family to Marie's knowledge- wait

"Would- Would this be like..a committed thing?" She asked.

Marie wasn't really..looking to just settle with the first person. She was.. kind of open to a few other people too..like Sookie..or Sam..even Bill- as wrong as it may be to be with your maker..ethically wise.

"Not at first," Rene says. "We know you probably did not do a lot of dating, so it is a bit more casual until we get there."

I guess in this case it's the best of both worlds.)
