it took lyra a grad total of ten minutes to remember joanna. And those ten minutes were to equivalent to hell. It took explanations on explanations to answer all of the blonde's understandable questions and to finally calm her down from her frantic state.
"I'm so sorry" Lyra sobbed into Joanna's chest, her arms wrapped impossibly tight around her friend. "I'm sorry I forgot you, I didn't mean to! I swear!"
"I know, I know" Joanna repeated, patting Lyra's hair and slightly rocking her back and forth as an attempt to soothe her cries.
"I-I don't remember what happened but I- I think I'm mad at Finnick"
"Okay, okay, is he okay?"
"I- I think so... I'm not mad anymore"
"Well that's fucking understandable" she laughed, reaching a hand out to pull Lyra to her feet. The blonde clasped her hand around Joanna's and shakily stood up. The tribute from Joannas district had died so Joanna, Lyra, Beetee and Wiress were left alone to travel through the jungle.
They were travelling quite peacefully for a while until an overwhelming smell of seawater. It was strange as they were a long while away from the middle of the arena. In fact, if they were any farther, there were probably steps that would've had to be taken to create distance between the quartet and the edge of the arena.
Out of nowhere, the female tribute from a district that none of them could remember swung down from the trees, thinking that the only real threat amongst the group was Joanna. Wiress and Beetee were deemed useless in the eyes of the tribute and she assumed that Lyra had probably forgotten her name by now.
She shouldn't have underestimated Lyra.
The sudden danger that the blonde had found herself in seemed to shock her into action as she remembered the small knife she'd taken and strapped to her hip automatically when she'd stormed off from Finnick earlier.
Shocked, it took Lyra a second to process what was happening and while the tribute was fighting Joanna who'd dropped the axe she was carrying after the unknown female had slashed her forearm with a broken arrow, Lyra took the knife from her hip and quickly drove it into the side of the tributes skull, just above her ear.
She kept pushing with all her strength until she went limp.
Another thing Lyra would be greatful to forget.

the quarter had been travelling for quite a while before a small tapping noise could be heard from somewhere behind them, further into the jungle. It wasn't very loud but the four could still hear it clearly over the sounds of the jungle.
It took Joanna a short while to calm Lyra down and stop her repeating the same sentence over and over. 'It happened again, Jo'. Still, they had to keep moving so once Lyra had settled slightly, they continued their trek.
The sound went mostly ignored as everyone had more important things on their mind and didn't think the tapping was much of a threat, until the tapping got louder and began abounding a bit like light rain.
A memory that Lyra could remember clearly was sitting near the water in district four, her head resting on Finnicks lap as he intricately plaited her long hair. She remembered looking up and feeling a drop of rain land on her nose as she giggled at the feeling.
Lyra swore she'd always love the rain.
Lyra didn't like this 'rain'.
The blonde looked up at the sky to feel a 'raindrop' land on her nose, although this time, it wasn't the pretty water droplet she loved. It was red... blood. "Joanna" she turned to her friend with a mortified look on her face "Joanna. Whose blood is it, Joanna? Joanna whose blood is it?" She rambled as the 'rain' got heavier and heavier, now coating the top of their heads and making it difficult to see in front of them.
"I- I don't know, sweetheart" the dark haired girl stuttered, reaching a hand out to grasp Lyras. Wiress and Beetee weren't far behind judging on the sound of their footsteps so they all decided to keep making their was forward, begging for the blood to stop falling. It took nearly an hour for them to reach the middle of the arena where the blood rain had stopped.
They all stumbled from the jungle, Wiress immediately walking towards the ocean and Lyra stuck to Joanna's side like a parasite. Her hand was still burning horribly from the fog earlier and now she was covered in blood. Lyra just wanted Finnick.
She was beginning to remember the details of the fog and their argument, her worry for Finnicks well being increasing by the second. She knew she needed to see him very soon.
Because Lyra couldn't remember what colour his eyes we're.
