lonely love

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful woman,

Whose heart was broken and her soul was in pain,

The hurt went deep and the memory so clear,

But she still felt a desire to be held,

To be loved, to be cared for, to be cherished,

To have someone to whisper sweet nothings to her,

To have someone to trust, to have someone to turn to,

For when life got too overwhelming and the light was dim.

But the woman was afraid to let anyone in,

Afraid to trust, afraid to love again,

For she had been hurt before,

Her heart left on the floor,

Her soul was bruised and battered,

And she knew that she had to heal before she could be whole,

So she closed herself off from the world,

And hid her heart and her pain,

And lived her life alone.

But despite the hurt, despite the pain,

Despite the fear, despite the disdain,

She still yearned for something more,

For someone to love her like she never knew before,

For someone to hold her hand,

To wipe away her tears,

To love her, not for her beauty,

But for her heart, her soul, and her purity.

But she knew that love was a risk,

And that opening her heart to someone else was a curse,

For what if the hurt came again,

What if the pain was more than she could stand?

What if the love was gone,

What if her heart was torn apart,

And she was left to pick up the pieces on her own,

So she decided to keep her heart locked and alone.

But she still longed for that special someone,

Someone to love her for who she truly was,

Someone to hold her close and never let her go,

Someone to love her flaws and all,

Someone to show her how truly special she was,

Someone to be her rock, her heart, and her star.

But until she found that special someone,

She would keep her heart locked and alone,

For she knew that true love was worth the risk,

And that sometimes, pain was just the price to pay.

So she carried her heart with her everywhere she went,

And waited for the day when love would come and make it right again.

And waited for the day when love would come and make it right again
