(Y/N) was thinking to himself rapidly. How in all that is holy is going to get out of this? Aizawa, his homeroom teacher, has engineered some sort of test instead of taking them to orientation.

(Y/N) did some research into the teachers before coming here he'd spent so long with Ashido and Kirishima that he'd forgotten which class they were all in. He had hoped upon hope that he was in class B with Vlad King. Cause Aizawa, had a very nasty habit of expelling students at the drop of a hat.

When they all went outside (Y/N) joined his friends nervously looking around at his new classmates. He recognized a few. Tail-kid being one of them. He finally introduced himself as Mashirao Ojiro. "Nice to meet you, Metal Man." he extends a hand and (Y/N) shakes it. "It's Kabuto, (Y/N) Kabuto." (Y/N) has been trying desperately to keep this new leaf turned the whole day.

Thankfully most of the students were making it fairly easy. MOST. Not all. A few of them were fairly snobbish and downright rude. The Ingenium kid who he now knew as Tenya Ida was fairly overbearing and moved around like he had a stick firmly shoved up his butt. The worst of them all was Katsuki Bakugou. He was the one that tested his patience the most.

Before the class split off into changing rooms. Ashido gave him a few pointers on what to say to people in there. Bakugou practically threw his perfectly friendly greeting into his face. "Buzz off extra." He hissed. "If I catch you talking to me again I'll break your neck." (Y/N) ground his teeth and Kirishima smelling the start of a fire pulled his tracksuit on and came over.

(Y/N) using all the admittedly small amount of self-control he had learned over the summer to not smash his face in, turned around. While he was thankful he didn't need to step in Kirishima was concerned about the vein popping out of (Y/N)'s temple.

(Y/N) just stared daggers at Bakugou when he came out. He reminded him of Boss and that was definitely not a good thing. Just like the rest of them he was handed a superpower and thought he was god's gift to planet Earth! He felt guilty for thinking that when Ashido and Kirishima popped into his brain as well as all the other perfectly friendly students he'd met today. He'd need to learn to keep his biases in check.

Aizawa who had been waiting for them all to arrive spoke. "Alright if you're all quite done wasting time chatting to each other I'll get to why we're here! A quirk assessment test."

The class all spoke over each other in shock. "WHAT!? A QUIRK ASSESSMENT TEST?"

"Good! You're all officially all on the same intellectual level as a parrot!"

The brown-haired girl, Uraraka piped up. "But what about orientation!? We're gonna miss it!"

Aizawa sighed. "If you want to make it in the big leagues, don't waste time with pointless ceremonies! Here at UA, we're not tethered to traditions. That means I get to run my class however I see fit."

And therein lay the problem.

"You've been taking standardized tests most of your lives but you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before." (Y/N) swallowed. This was bad. Really really bad. "The country is still trying to pretend that we were all created equal by not letting people with the strongest quirks excel. It's not rational. One day the Ministry of Education will learn. Bakugou, you managed to get the most points in the entrance exam. What's the furthest you've thrown a softball in Junior High?"

"67 meters I think."

"Right. Try doing it with your quirk."

Bakugou stepped up. (Y/N)'s mind was racing he needed a plan and fast. He was fairly fit for his age but just by looking around he could tell he would be outmatched and didn't even know what a lot of their quirks were. And (Y/N) could see where this was going.
