GCSE'S

No matter what people say , what divided opinions they have right now GCSE'S are priority and it will change my life . That being said it is so dn hard to stay focused especially when no subject really appeals to you . But you do what you got do right ?

So what am I doing ? Counting down the days until I can toss out my CGP books well more like donate them but overall have them out of sight out of mind . My idea of bliss.

It seems that the whole friendship group has gone into hibernation since year 11 started. Zahra has turned her tiny box bedroom into a study cave mind maps on every wall . Tia treks to the library every other day so she can study with peace and not be surrounded by her siblings. Even Coco who has come up with a system to match snacks to subjects . So takis go with maths , English goes with cookies etc . I bet its a much better reward system than mine coz the reward only crops in like 3 years time . The reward being money and financial freedom of course .

Imagine if we got paid to study ... like paid to go to school . Apparently back in the day kids would be paid to stay in school and not drop out . I bet it could have helped kids today . Take a load off their parents. I bet it would help khalil ...

There are so many distractions which leads to procrastination but thinking about Khalil is a nice one ... I think . I've seen him a couple of times since Eid well more like on our way back from school I catch a glimpse of playing footy still in his uniform looking like he doesn't have a care in the world. But he does . Just like every other kid in this place .

I wonder if he cares about school . Maybe he does . Maybe he doesn't. I keep thinking back to the time he was flipping through my text books when I was "fixing" up his brother .

Anyway , come on Safiya stop thinking about Khalil who probably has forgotten about you now . And study !
