Upon arriving, Pete wastes no time he flung the double door open as he called out "Vegas!"

The tyrant at the head table of the massive room sitting cross-leg on a leather chair eyes piercing straight into Pete's soul

"What are you" Vegas' tone colder than ice "doing here, angel?"

Notice the tyrant's deadly gaze, Pete starts to look around, his eyes wide the instant he realizes where he is. He shouldn't have come here.

Vegas was indeed in a meeting, but this one involved blood and violence, unlike yesterday's meetings. Vegas' underling was interrogating a certain someone.

Pete knew from the start that this so-called base would fill with all these things. He did not expect to run into one, not one but two. He just met his friend back from high school and now walked into a room full of ruthless criminals.

'Screw me,' he thought

While he was in his stupor, a cold, rough voice pulled him back

"I asked you, angel," Vegas

Pete collected himself before answering, "I- I have something to talk about with you."

"Get out!" Vegas said indifferently

Pete was a bit shocked. He felt angry as well as upset... maybe just a little.

"..." he said nothing, turning to leave

"Everyone out NOW!" Vegas barks out an order which makes the bodyguards drag the
men with faith under the tyrant's mercy.

"You, come here," Vegas

Pete knows Vegas is calling him, but he stands firm, not moving at all

"You can continue. We can talk later," Pete

"I said come here," Vegas said while tapping his lap lightly

Vegas becomes irritated at Pete's stubbornness,

"Don't make me go there," Vegas

When everyone finally left, only two figures were in the middle of a starring competition. Pete finally breaks eye contact and approaches what he came for

"I met a woman outside. She is Emily, my friend back from high school," he paused before continuing. "I heard her family owns the money from your organization."

"I told you to come here," Vegas' tone turned stiff cold

Pete surrenders as he walks toward the sitting tyrant and sits down on his lap

"Why was she here instead of her family?" Pete asks

"And?" Vegas

"She is just a weak woman. She knows nothing," Pete

"Pete, there is no place for the weak in this world. Only by being the strongest will you survive, because one is willing to help you" Vegas

"Can't you let her go?" Pete

"No," Vegas answered bluntly

You can't find 'Mercy' in him.

"Can't you do it for me?" Pete asks tone soften

"And what do I get in exchange?" Vegas

"What do you want?" Pete

"There is one thing I want but it depends on whether you can give it or not," Vegas said as his eyes darkened only for a little that even the latter on his lap did not notice
