8| Future Father-in-law

After Felix accepted Hyunjin's proposal, Hyunjin smiled and placed the ring in his finger.

Hyunjin could never be happier. The man who he found after searching for him for 5 whole years, the man who bore his child, the man whom he loved so much finally became his fiancé.

"Now, what're you gonna do with Hyeona's surname?" Hyunjin asked

"Not so fast, we're not married yet." Felix replied

"Oh, come on. Wouldn't hurt to think things a little bit ahead of time, right?" Hyunjin pouted.
"We can go and meet my dad right now and talk to him about this and other things as well like our marriage." Hyunjin added.

"WHAT? MEETING YOUR DAD?!" Felix shouted in full surprise. "I-isn't that a little bit too..soon..???" Felix asked nervously.

"I already talked about this to dad before I came here."

"YOU WHAT?!"

"Lix, calm down. It's not like we're meeting Satan"

"No... I'm just nervous, to be honest."

"If you're okay with it, we can have Hyeona come with us to my dad's place."

"..Okay, we can..go. With Hyeona."

Felix then called for Hyeona upstairs.

"Hyeona!! Come down here for a little bit!" Felix shouted, hoping Hyeona heard it.

"'Kay, dad. Just wait a little!!"

Hyeona then came down the stairs holding her bbokari. Seeing the toy brought Felix to a smile.

"Oh, that toy is very cute! What's his name?" Hyunjin asked Hyeona in curiosity.

"Oh, this? Dad got it for me at the amusement park!! You know, when you and dad met at the café!" Hyeona exclaimed. 

"Oh, I see. Felix is a very endearing father indeed." Hyunjin nodded in agreement with his own statement.
"By the way, Hyeona. Do you want to come with us? We're gonna go visit my dad  -  your other grandfather!" Hyunjin added.

"Really? Is he scary?" Hyeona asked.

"No, no. Your other grandpa is very nice! What do you call your grandpa here?"

"Grandpa!!" Hyeona happily replied.

"Okay, then you can call my father Grandfather. That way we won't be confused"

"Oh okay! I'll come with you!"

"Kay then, I guess that's settled now? Felix, what do you say?"

"Yeah, we're going."

Hyunjin then went to his car with Felix and Hyeona following him.  Of course, Hyunjin opened the door for Felix and Hyeona.

They then drove to Hyunjin's Dad's house.
It was 30 minutes away from Felix's house, so it took a little while to reach the place. When they did, Felix and Hyeona were both astonished at the large mansion, the beautiful flowers in the garden..even the statue. A statue of a woman holding flowers with a wedding dress. The statue looked so beautiful, it felt like it was alive.

Hyunjin knocked at the door, his dad opening and welcoming the two.

"Ah, son. What brings you here? Oh! You must be Felix, right? and this little girl here must be Hyeona? Here! Come inside!" 

The three then followed Hyunjin's dad. They sat at the sofa waiting for the dad as he brewed some tea.

The dad then brought the tea to the table.

"Oh no, sir you didn't have to do that!" Felix insisted.

"Oh, of course I should accomodate my visitors well. Plus, brewing tea is a stress reliever for me. Not accepting my tea means to me that you don't like the tea I make." Hyunjin's dad teased.

Felix felt a little guilty, and then said
"Ah ... Thank you very much, sir.."

"Sir? Ah, no. My son told me about his proposal, and now that you're wearing that ring, I say you accepted him? You should call me father or however you'd like, as long as you're comfortable. You don't have to if you don't want to."

"Ah..yes, fa..father...." Felix shyly whispered.

Hyunjin's dad couldn't help but smile. He was endeared at the sight of the family in front of him. His now grown up son who inherited his company, his son's beloved, and his cute granddaughter.
'I just wish Jungreu was still here to witness this sight.'

"So, dad. Uh, you know about the proposal, right? It went well, so we're gonna continue our plans for the wedding venue now."

"Wait, continue?" Felix asked with a surprised expression.

"Well, yeah. I knew you were gonna say yes since I love you so much and you love me as well. Even if you didn't accept it, I'll make the supposed wedding day a holiday for my company either way to remind myself of the love I had and have for you."

"Hyun..I love you so much."

"Me too. I love you more."

"Ehem, dear lovers. Do you mind if I take Hyeona with me to have a stroll in the garden? She seems to be bored." Hyunjin's dad asked, trying to excuse himself from this heart-wrenching scene of the two.

"Yeah, yeah!! Dad, papa, can I come with grandpaps? I wanna visit the garden!!" Hyeona merrily asked.

"Ah, of course. Me and papa will just be talking here." Felix permitted.

The two then exited the room, leaving Hyunjin and Felix for themselves.

"By the way, Lix. As I said by continue, uh, how about let's pick a design for our wedding? I already have my eye on a venue somewhere. All I need is your confirmation and I can rent the place." Hyunjin suggested.

"Oh okay, you mind I take a look?"

"Yeah, sure." Hyunjin then took the laptop in the table and opened it. He then showed Felix the venue location and the interior.

"Oh, it's a hotel?"

"Yup, you don't like it?"

"Ah, no no. It's just surprising..since.. it's..our wedding.." Felix said and looked away from Hyunjin.

Hyunjin stared and smiled at his cute, adorable, beautiful soon-to-be husband, pulling Felix towards him and pecked his lips.
He then pulled away and put his attention to the designs he had in his laptop, while leaving Felix beet red.

"Lix, how do you like this design? Felix? Felix?? Hello?"
