The mysterious figure released his grip on Aiyu and gently set her down. In a split second, Aiyu seized the opportunity and delivered a swift punch from under the person's jaw. The impact caused him to stumble back a few steps, his face contorted in pain. "Hey! Are you out of your mind? I was just fooling around!" he exclaimed, desperately caressing his jaw to ease the ache with a comical expression .
Meanwhile, Aiyu nonchalantly dusted off her hands, as if she had just vanquished a formidable foe with her mighty strength. "Spill the beans! What sneaky plan were you cooking up?" she demanded, her eyes gleaming with curiosity .
Aiyu suddenly realized the recklessness of her sudden instinct, a result of her karate practices from middle school. But if this turned out to be a real evil spirit, she was in a big trouble! "Oh shit," she exclaimed, utterly disappointed in herself.
"Aiyu, Aiyu, why do you always do this?" I might have provoked his evil intentions now..... Even though she was fully shredded , she made sure not to let him see her trembling fear or the gritting of her teeth. But somehow at the same time, she couldn't help but wonder why an evil spirit would be so easily hurt by a normal mortal like her. Is it just acting? Does he have some sneaky trick up his sleeve? The thought left her completely blank as she trembled with uncertainty while pondering .
Summoning every ounce of bravery, she mustered the courage to speak once again , cautiously adjusting her pitch to convey her seriousness this time acting all mighty .
"Beware, !!" she warned still shivering , taking a step back delicately, "for if you dare lay a hand on me, your fate will be sealed in the most gruesome manner."
Her heart raced as she uttered these words, desperately hoping that her plea would not fall on deaf ears. "You may not be aware, but Wo Luo has vowed to protect me, and you will not survive his wrath!" She silently prayed that her words would not be in vain .
Even though Wo Luo wasn't visible anywhere. For the sole purpose of saving her life, she had used his name.
" Wo Luo , you a piece of junk !!" Despite promising you would protect me , you're nowhere to be found . even if I used his name, he has proven to be totally unreliable . I might be on the edge of passing away right now, but where is he? "
Apparently, she was mentally imitating him. She fervently wished that the person in front of her would be moved by Wo Luo's name and would spare her life. As Aiyu gazed at him and shivered, the figure started moving towards her. Oh no, did I just provoke him further? Why, even after hearing Wo Luo's name, he seem the least bit frightened .
Why is my fate being so absurdly unpredictable and unjust? I was thrilled to embark on a peaceful campaign with my crush, (sobbing ) . But now, I feel like a defenseless chicken, constantly teetering on the edge of being devoured by any rapid beast .
Suddenly, Aiyu was jolted back to reality as the person spoke with an emotionless tone.
"Haha, you really are something, little human," he sneered. Aiyu's expression sank further in disbelief. "Wait, have you realized who I am?" she questioned.
The person moved further, his response dripping with certainty. "Of course, it's quite obvious," he replied, closing the distance between them.
