"It would not kill the both of you to simply smile!"
Tina sighs for the umpteenth time in frustration watching the stoic expressions on both Onika and Beyoncé's faces, looking so unimpressed as they sat on the couch in front of the photographer, the tiny space left between them was thanks to Tina who had to forcefully order them to get closer
She signalled for the man with the camera to carry on with the picture taking once the two gave the slightest fakest smiles each. Tina walked back to stand where Carol stood with a sour expression on her face and a glass of margarita in one hand while another crossed over her body. The two mothers shared a look each holding in their breath
A week had passed since the GALA and engagement announcement and the news was still all everyone could talk about. Now here they were, getting the engagement party invitation pictures taken so they can start distributing it to everyone. Well that if the two grumpy pants could just crack a smile
"How about one where you're holding each other?" The photographer called making Beyoncé and Onika disprove quickly
"That's a good idea!" Carol calls cheerfully making Onika look toward her with a mug
"Oh Tanya quit frowning or you'll get wrinkles" she cackled loudly as her daughter's pout deepens
"Giselle get off your ass and hold your future wife" Tina states, picking her glass she left on the table and taking a sip from it
Beyoncé grumbles unhappy but stood up from the couch and waited for Onika to get onto her feet. Due to the heel she was wearing, it was proving slightly difficult for the smaller woman. Beyoncé sighs in frustration then stretched out a hand toward Onika to take and the brunette looked at her like she had some type of a disease
"No thank you" She shoves the hand away getting up onto her feet by herself. Beyoncé rolled her eyes at the stubbornness of the brunette then faced the photographer
"Hold her Beyoncé, for the love of God..." Tina sighs touching her forehead at the incoming headache she felt
Beyoncé moved closer to put her arm around Onika when the brunette glared at her
"You better keep your hands above my waist and no any lower" she growled making Beyoncé scoff at the instruction
"As if I would want to touch you" the blonde spoke lowly with a fake smile so their mothers wouldn't hear
"Well I wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole. Asshole" Onika restores with a fake sweet smile at Beyoncé
"Smile!"
At the photographer's instruction, Beyoncé pulled Onika closer by her waist toward her as they turned to smile wide for the photo.
