"Oh God! What the actual fuck is happening. H-how did that even happen?" Hriata was holding his head in frustration. The girls were weeping not daring to cry any louder since the zombies were still outside.
Two of their friends had already died and it hasn't even 24 hours since the apocalypse had started.
"Hey you! Zachhuanmawi! How did that happen? What were you guys trying to do?!" Ms-a grabbed him by the collar and shouted at him.
The shouting alerted the zombies outside as they soon banged on the door again.
The girls covered their ears, scared.
"No but like seriously, why were you guys opening the door?" Hriata came forward and asked him.
Zachhuanmawia glanced around the room and got anxious when he saw that all of them were glaring at him. Should he tell them the truth or not? He gulped and let out a sigh.
"I-it's h-her fault. S-she tries to escape by h-herself and me i-i tried to stop her but she forcefully open it. T-the zombie s-suddenly attacked her so i had no choice but to just close the door. I-if i hadn't closed the door in time, w-we, a-all of you guys would have been dead." He said trying his best to avoid the glares.
Meanwhile on the upper room.
The students were filled with questions and anxiousness. Thankfully they got a gate so they can freely roam around the corridor but it's different for the guys on the lower room, once they open the door they are done for.
"Who do you think that is? Do you think she survived? That was so scary." Hriatpuii said to them. They were seating in their places quietly, wondering who it was and how the zombies even got her.
"Don't know. I'm worried for them." Miriam said quietly. The rest of them remain quiet, they were all too shock to even speak. Despite not hearing about Benjamin yet, the possible death of Rebecca scrared them shitless.
"Aremi and Nanui stays with them right? Do you think they are doing fine?" Aroi asked Juliet.
"Hopefully, they'll be okay." Juliet simply answered.
"I hope the sun rises soon. The darkness adds to the terror." Denna added.
"Let's try to communicate with them once the sun rises." Samuel suggested.
After that the room went quiet again, some fell asleep and some quietly lay down on their bed. After what felt like forever, it became brighter and they can finally see the sun peeking through the window. They can finally be at peace.
After they had a discussion for some time Juliet and Denna went out to the corridor to check the positions of the zombies. After that they went back in and told their friends about their plan.
"Since they can't come out on the front corridor, we'll try to communicate with them from the balcony. We'll tie a bucket to a rope and let it down to their floor, and after they had finished reading and answering our plans they will pull the rope lightly. To prevent them from falling we'll have to tie the rope somewhere in here. Is that clear?" Denna announced.
"Let's do that. Let's ask about the incident and whether they're okay or not."
Aremi noticed a bucket hanging outside on the balcony, without even waking up her friends she strides towards it and opened the door to see what it was about. She noticed that the rope came from upside so she looked up and saw some of her friends. Without even paying attention to the bucket she squealed and waved at her friends.
She excitedly went inside and wake everyone up and told them about it. They all rushed towards the balcony and after a moment of waving and talking to each other they finally took out the booklet which was inside the bucket.
'Are you guys doing okay? What happened last night? I hope you are all doing well. Let's communicate using this from now on.' Was written on it.
Vanrammawia then quickly signalled Lawmpuia to get a pen or pencil.
'We're so glad that you all are fine! We're doing well so don't be too worried. The thing is last night Rebecca tried to escape all by herself so she opened the door and got attacked by the zombies and Benjamin is also stil missing, we're not sure if he's dead or not. Please do tell us if he's with you'
Didiki wrote as Ms-a and Pipi-i told her with the others also said something but she ignored them.
"Anything important you guys want to add?" Didiki asked them in which Rempuii snatched the book from her.
'We need to come up with a plan on how to escape or atleast retrieve some food from the kitchen. We're a little bit hesitant to drink the water from the bathroom. You guys come up with a plan or something but I do have some plan in my mind.'
Rempuii added to which they nodded their heads in agreement.
Remlalpianga was the one who went to return the bucket with the book in it.
"So what's your plan?" Kennet asked Rempuii
"So basically, my plan is that since the guys in the upper room have more protection then us so they'll have to attract the zombies down there by making loud noises. After all the zombies had gone to the upper corridor three or four fast and strong boys will go down there with any available weapon and a backpack. I don't think the kitchen is locked properly so they can just open it and take as many food as they can. But there's a chance that the door might be locked so for that we need a Plan B which is to simply break the lock, but if we're to apply this plan some zombies might hear it so we'll have to do it as quiet as we can. I want Joel, Lawmpuia, Hriata and Hmangaihzuala to go."
Rempuii said to her friends as Tluangtluangi also read it to those that are in the upper room.
After both parties agreed to her plans the guys prepared themselves to go out.
It's honestly surprising that they willingly agreed to go out without putting on any fight.
"I forgot to mention this but try to get some kitchen knives, as many as you can. It will be useful for us and you know I should be the first one to get my hands on it if you planned on distributing it.''
Rempuii approached Lawmpuia who was putting on his backpack.
"You don't have to say it, anyone with common sense will know it." He sassily replied.
"Wow. Your true colour is showing, make sure you and your boyfriend don't get bitten. I'm not ready for a gay-romance-with-sad-ending yet." (Guys an gaylo ania.)
She sneered back at him and walked away
"Lawmpui, stay safe out there." Awmpuii came up to him and smiled at him which Lawmpuia returned with a smile.
"Wait! You guys should wrap tapes around your arms and legs so that even in a close combat you won't have to be worried about getting bitten in such places." Michael suggested.
The others helped the boys put on the protections and after they finished they signalled Nanu-i as they too went towards the door ready to open it.
"We're ready!" Nanu-i shouted from the balcony to tell those that are in the upper floor that they could start their part.
