The Only One for Me

It wasn't abnormal for Rohan Kishibe to wake up in the arms of Shrek. It was, however, abnormal for him not to. He exhaled, sitting up.

"Where is that googly moogly green ogre?"

Rohan thinks to himself, taking a quick glance around he and Shrek's shared bedroom to see if he could locate said ogre. Unfortunately, he could not.
Rohan pondered where his lover could be.
Lately, it seemed that he and Shrek had been drifting apart. The affection and fondness they had once shared had slowly been dwindling, and it was painful to see what they had come to. Rohan got out of bed and went to the kitchen.
his muscleton green frame, and his gorgeous, albeit strange, ears twinkled in the sunlight.

"Shrek?"

The ogre looked shocked to see his pookie wookie munchkin bear. Rohan, with a stern expression on his face, began to speak.

"Listen honey..I don't think this relationship is going to work."

"..."

Shrek didn't know how to respond. How could this be? He tried to think, although he knew the answer. He thought back to that fateful evening.
The evening that he made out with The Lorax.
"Rohan, dear, why would you say that??"
The ogre questioned, looking over at the young manga artist.

"I'm not a dumbass. I know you made out with The Lorax."

Rohan glared up at the muscular green ogre. He loved him to pieces, but why? Why would he cheat? He had to get to the bottom of this.

"...Listen, I-I don't know what you're talking about, I-R-Rohan, I love you. We've spent most of our lives together, please don't do this!!"

Shrek pleaded. He knew what he did and that it was wrong, but that day, he just couldn't keep his hands off of that orange mythical creature.
Rohan looked at him, distress apparent in his gaze.

"Shrek...I-I don't understand..I loved you! We loved eachother! The Lorax..he was my brother in law! You know this! How could you?!?!"

Shrek felt his heart ache. The look in his beloved's eyes was one of pure misery and betrayal. How could he have been so stupid?
He had been dumb enough to trade someone as sincere and beautiful as Rohan for a superficial slut like that goddamn Lorax.

"Rohan, I-"

"No!!! That's it! You don't even have time for me anymore!"

"Honey, please!"

"Don't call me honey. The moment you kissed The Lorax you lost that privilege."

Rohan fought back tears as he yelled at the ogre.

"You did this to yourself. Pack your things and leave my goddamn house."

"H-honey please..! I-"

"No. Leave."

That was three years ago. Three years ago that Rohan Kishibe swore he would never love again. Now, he's sitting at a table at a small cafe, drawing in his sketchbook. He didn't really have much planned, just run a couple errands. That was, until, a familiar person caught his eye...Shrek. Shrek and The Lorax. Holding hands, exchanging small kisses, smiling and giggling with one another. Rohan swore he would never love again, so why was there a pit forming at the bottom of his stomach? Why was he filled with such rage and jealousy? Perhaps, he wasn't quite over Shrek? No, that can't be. He kicked that goddamn ogre out of his house years ago. Rohan must have been staring for a while, because he caught the attention of the infamous ogre and his sneaky link.

Shrek looked at him in shock.
It couldn't be, but it was.
His ex-boyfriend, Rohan Kishibe.
He averted his eyes in shame.
The Lorax, his new boyfriend took ahold of his hand.
