The break was brief but worth it and soon it was time to resume school. I packed my bags in no time a day to resumption, bade my family goodbye after praying with them and left. The journey back to the place of my primary assignment was smooth. I arrived there at about 4pm after spending 10hours on the road.
At 4:45pm, I was already in my room, by now I was done with pleasantries with neighbors. My room wasn't really unkept, just some cobwebs, less tedious sweeping and mopping to do. By 6:30pm I was done with all the cleaning and arrangements. I got out to empty my wastebasket and I heard a loud call "Uncle!!!!!!" Bright shouted from afar. "B-boy' I replied 🤭 he ran towards me with so much energy and excitement and jumped on me throwing his hands round my neck and resting them on my shoulders in a tight hug🫂 his legs were up from the ground trapping me. It was the warmest and sweetest hug I've ever experienced.

He came down smiling and laughing, he looked so excited and alive! "Big boy you seem taller now" I said complimenting his looks. He sure did looked a bit taller to me, maybe due to his grown hair now, giving him a new look. The full tick black hair made him look cuter and more mature, in fact everything about Bright always seems to enhance his looks the more. "Uncle welcome oo" he greeted happily, smiling so hard. I rested my hand on his shoulders, crossing it from one shoulder through the back of his neck to the end of the other shoulder drawing him close and teasing him. He felt so comfortable and held me close. "Let me dispose this for you sir" he offered to help. He helped disposed the disposables in my wastebasket and came inside. "How have you been?" I asked, "hope you enjoyed your break?" I inquired further. "Hmmm well sha I did, my Uncle didn't come oo" he only sent me some money and then instructed I work on his farm before he comes back" he replied. "So you mean you were just home alone?" I inquired further. "Yes, his woman (girlfriend) brought some food items the Saturday afternoon I left your house before mid-term break" he continued further "she came with the keys and When she returned three days later she dropped the spare key for me" he said. "Well that's good" I responded. "Uncle how far naa, what did you bring for me?" he said smiling "nothing oooo, no money" I replied. Though I got him three nice polo shirts a jogger pant, some of my old college textbook, novels, a loaf of bread and a wristwatch. He was super excited. He remained with me the rest of the evening helping me prepare dinner, I was really tired so I needed his help.
We got done with dinner around 8pm, it was white rice and stew. I bought some juice on my way with fresh fruits too, we enjoyed the meal actually. I had to shower again due to heat while he made himself at home. We sat on the bed interacting afterwards.
Bright was actually bright indeed, smart, intelligent and lively. He was more free and playful with me now than he ever was. He later on began watching *"Elite"* series on my laptop. Elite (Spanish: Élite) is a Spanish teen drama series created for Netflix by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona. He actually has been watching it even before I resumed and began work there. "So you have this series and I didn't know, I like it" he said focusing on it, while I was trying to fix the detached strap/bracelet of my wristwatch and it's buckle. When he noticed I wasn't paying attention he offered to help "Uncle let me help you and do it" he asked, his grammar sounded odd as usual, "I'll prefer you say, "let me help you fix it" I corrected.."which one is let me help you and do it? 😏 I mocked him jokingly "don't worry sha, I'm done already" i replied him. After fixing it, I settled down with my phone while he continued watching his series.
