I kept on with Mark's pase praying and hoping it won't be something really bad. Mark led me on until I began hearing shout and cries..."Mark, Mark I called, but he was too tensed and hyperventilating way too much to answer. The noise was coming from a familiar house, in no time I realized it was Bright's place, getting closer I saw Bright tied like a criminal, writhing in pains, 😨he had suffered severe beaten. I lost it..."who did this to you Bright...who?...he was too weak to answer.."Mark Mark!! I shouted!! get a bike, get somebody!!! run!! run!!! ruuuuuun!!!!! I rushed inside their house, I saw no one. "Jeeesuus! jeeeesuss!! jeessuuuss!!!' I kept shouting. The few neighbors around were panicking and confused, they seem not to know what transpired. I held Bright in my hands, they were blood stains all over him. I noticed severe bloody marks all over his body with blood dripping from his nose his lips was injured and bloody, his eyes was closing "ohhh God!!!😫I screamed, Bright! Bright!! look at me, look at me I called out to him panicking.😖😣Bright!! Bright!!! I kept shaking him...Oh God!!! I shouted😫...Mark!!! Mark!!!...I called out for Mark but he hadn't returned... I lifted Bright up in my arms and carried him running to the road. I tried looking for okada but non was in sight, I kept running with him bare footed praying for mercy😣 some sympathizers joined me, I kept running and shouting for help until a passenger on an Okada told the Okada man to stop, he immediately came down, ran towards me and helped me out, we both took Bright to the bike, we positioned Bright sitting on the bike while I sat behind him, the bike zoomed off immediately to the nearest hospital.

We arrived the Hospital and nurses on duties rushed to our aid and immediately took Bright in for medical attention, I followed them in but was stopped later on. I was led back to the waiting room, there I sat down with blood stains all over and with no shoes, I wasn't even bothered one bit I just sat there with my head down praying for Bright. I was there till night came, a nurse came and called me to the Doctor's office, I went with her immediately. I got to the Doctor's office and was assured he will be fine. "he suffered physical abuse, he was severely beaten and he sustain internal injuries, lost some blood too, but he is stable now" the Doctor assured me. He further instructed me to go make some deposit before further treatment could commence. I quickly took a bike and rushed home. Coming home, I took my phone and wallet, checked the wallet well to be sure my ATM card was there and without wasting time went back with the same bike that brought me. I got to the hospital in no time, after making some withdrawals, from ATM, I  rushed to the counter and  made the required deposit

The Doctor and nurses on duties were active and did their best. I tried seeing Bright but was told it will only be possible the next day and not that night, so I remained in the waiting room. I kept wondering what really happened to Bright, somehow I suspected his uncle, I guess when he realized the harm he had done he took to his heels, "well, let Bright recuperate first, then we'll deal with other issues" I said to myself.

Nurses kept going in and out of the ward Bright was admitted into, I was worried, I intensified my prayers and left the rest to God, hoping he will hear the prayers of a terrible sinner like me. About an hour later the Doctor approached me from the ward "yes Mr.....??? he asked expecting an urgent reply "Ayo, Ayo Doctor" I quickly replied "The boy is half awake, but he is very fine now and stable, nothing too serious and life threatening, only that he also tested positive to acute malaria" he said to me "right now he needs complete rest. We have given him some medication that will put him to sleep and since it's late now" he said checking his wristwatch "it's almost 11:30pm, perhaps you can stay with him and keep an eye on him" he suggested "it's basically to keep him company while he sleeps, you don't have to do anything than to keep it quiet ok?" He instructed "no problem doctor. "Should anything comes up which I really doubt, call the nurse" he added and left. "Thank you doctor" I responded as he walked off. A nurse led me to Bright's ward and the room where he was. I came in an saw him sound asleep with few plasters here and there. I came closer to him and I felt so sorry for him, he didn't deserve all these, no one deserves it" I said to myself silently. Turning around I saw a chair and I sat on it just beside him. "Whoever the culprit is, whoever did this will pay" I said again.
