"You remember more than I do of what things used to be like." Leo said.
Iiren shrugged. "Probably. I'm older than you."
The brother and sister were sitting outside on the edge of the fountain of the city of Corona. It was almost Christmas and the snow was gently falling around them. Shu Li and Frei were nearby, but the siblings took this moment for just the two of them. Leo was dressed in a coat, but Iiren was just in her traveling clothes and cloak. The cold didn't bother her very much.
"I still don't understand why you just...left. Like I do, but why so secret? Why did you leave us behind? Me behind?" Leo asked. Iiren looked at him and saw the question but also a bit of hurt in his eyes. She was his sister, his only sister and sibling too. Why would she leave him alone?
She paused. It had crossed her mind that there might be some consequences to her leaving suddenly, but now it was hitting her that she may have also hurt the ones that cared about her.
"I had a mission I felt like I had to do on my own." Iiren said softly. "It's hard to explain... but I can write it down for you."
"From the beginning?"
"Yes."
