Chpater 17~Atsushi ~

I was on my way to the park as I had gotten a text from Murisakibara to meet up. I found it a bit strange that he would ask me to meet up at a park though, he doesn't exactly look like the type of guy to go to the park in his free time.

Once I walked into the park gate, I got a text.

Murisakibara: Wait at the gate

I put my phone away and listened to the instructions, see Mai's cousin is attractive but I don't actually like him or anything I genuinely wanted to clear things up so he wouldn't feel awkward talking to me. Because he seems like a decent person to be friends with.

And let's be honest I need more friends, kind of funny how I'm friends with Mai and her cousin though.

Well at least I hope he thinks of me as a friend.

"Y/n" I hear my name being called I turn around to see Murisakibara slowly walking towards me.

"Hey" I say as I wave.

"So uh I'm kind of confused, why did you want to meet up" I say to him as we walk further into the park.

He looks at me with a straight face.

"To tell you that your lame" he reply's

My eyes widen as I look at him confused.

"W-what" I stutter as I'm caught slightly off guard by his comment.

"What your doing makes no sense and it sounds so tiresome" he yawns as he pulls out two snacks from his pocket and gives one to me.

I don't say anything because I don't know what to say, he couldn't have told me when I exposed the situation, or over the phone?

"I just thought I should tell you, because you seemed like a decent enough person" he continues.

"Don't you think at least one of you will start to like eachother?" He asks as he stops walking to now face me.

"Uhhhh I hadn't really thought about that" I nervously reply.

While it's definitely possible it's highly unlikely.

He looks at me waiting for a reply.

"Uh" I trail off

"I think it's unlikely that He will like me" I reply to his comment

"And I know I don't like him, so" I say as I finish talking.

He gives a small nod.

"Alright then" he shrugs

We walk past a basketball court and see kids playing on it.

"Do you play basketball? I mean your super tall so you would definitely be somewhat good at it" I ask

"All the guys at that party including me play basketball and we were former teammates" he reply's nonchalantly as he chews on another snack.

"Oh that makes so much sense" I reply as I laugh at my Silly question.

He gives a small smile.

"Do you play games?" He asks

"Yeah I absolutely love them" I reply now really invested into our conversation.

We sit down at a bench and talk about all the games we play and have played, giving each-other reviews. And he was surprisingly unit the conversation too.

"Damn that's so cool" I say as he says he has the game I want.

"Yeah, you can come over and play it if you want" he offers

"What really?!?!" I ask excitedly

He nods

"Thanks" I say as I smile.

"How about next weekend?" I ask hoping he's free

"Sounds good" he says as he gets up and yawns.

"I'm going to go get some more food, want me to walk you home" he offers as he scratches his head.

"No don't worry, see you later Murisakibara" I chirp as I wave.

"Atsushi" he says briefly as he waves goodbye.

I smile, happy knowing I've made a new friend. It's good because we have similar interests and it's kinda cool how he's always loaded with food.

I can't wait for the next weekend.
