Two days after the incident at Amber's home.
Sam and Tara were riding in the car, heading toward the hospital. Hunched over with her elbow resting on the back of the door, Tara looked out the window. The past weeks had given her a lot to think about... She had been so close to death, and yet she had survived... By all accounts she must have been incredibly lucky, not everyone managed to make it. Mindy and Chad have been discharged from the hospital, but they still can't get much exercise thought. And Tara was already able to walk, not 100 percent, but still... And Y/N...
"Thinking about all this again?" Sam asked, briefly glancing at her thoughtful sister.
"Define, all this..." Tara expressionlessly said.
"Liv, Mindy, Chad... Y/N. You're about to graduate from high school... How do you feel in general." She asked in a caring manner. Like a good older sister would.
Tara took her eyes off the window for the first time, turning to her sister. "I'm glad more people weren't hurt... That you survived, it helps a lot having you next to me... Thank you." She replied filled with sincerity.
Sam, however, noticed that she still did not mention one person. But she wasn't going to tire her out, she had been through a lot in recent weeks. "We'll get there soon," Sam informed, and Tara nodded. "Chad is probably already waiting there."
"Probably so... These two are like brothers in a way."
"We'll see what we encounter there... Maybe he'll wake up eventually."

Stepping into the hallway leading to the room where her boyfriend was, she expected to see Chad already waiting there, but the sight of Mindy slightly startled her. In a rather positive way, Y/N and she are not the closest in the group, but they are still friends.
Tara approached them gathering their attention. Chad got up from his chair. "How's it going?"
Tara smiled slightly. "Better than yesterday, you?"
"Same."
"Mindy." Tara began. "It didn't expect you to be here."
Mindy giggled. "You're hurting my feelings, Y/N is my friend, I don't visit him very often because I have to study. This is the final stage of our education in this high school."
"Right, we'll all be going to college soon... Me, Chad, Mindy, and Y/N."
Chad nodded. "Then he better wake up, it's already two full days, how long can you rest?"
Tara walked past Chad, approaching the door. "Are you coming in?"
Mindy and Chad exchanged glances, understanding. "You go yourself, talk to him a little, and we'll go to the cafe, do you want anything?" Mindy asked. Tara shook her head. "Then we're going, hang in there." Mindy and Chad left, and Tara entered the room.

Her heart always sped up when she visited him. Thoughts like. "If I go in will his chest still rise? Will his heart beat? Will his breathing be steady?" There wasn't a moment she didn't think that.
She walked over to him sitting down on the chair beside his bed. He was asleep, deeply, very deeply. Pale face, dry lips. But he was alive, that's what mattered. "Did you feel that way with me too, when I was unconscious? It's scary, thinking you might not wake up... So please." She gripped his hand. "Wake up."
Of course... He didn't wake up, it's not a fairy tale where maybe he would wake up because of such words.
"I knew it wouldn't work... You know." She grabbed her purse. "I have something for you, you like that kind of thing." Rummaging through her purse she caught it. On the shelf next to his bed she placed, a scented candle. "It cost me $30, expensive, right? I don't know if I can light it, I'll ask the nurse... But I was specifically looking for the smell of strawberries, I know you love them." She sighed, wishing for nothing more than for him to finally wake up, his injuries were serious, so much so that his life was in huge danger, and if it hadn't been for the operation... He would no longer be here, fortunately, he survived. Tara herself was unconscious for a long time, having been stabbed so many times, her arm and leg broken. Someone might think that the injuries Y/N got were nothing compared to hers, but it didn't matter.
