"OUR MAGICAL JOURNEY HAS JUST BEGUN......."
"For my next trick, I would require the participation of the audience. Please,if my assistant could bring out the magical boxes out. There are two boxes, one of them here while the other is in the aisle among the audience. I'm sure many of my clever audience have guessed our next magic trick. A swap! One lucky audience member and I will each enter a magic box. After one minute, we both will emerge from the opposite box. The lucky audience member will be generated by this random number selector. It selects number entirely at random, that even I don't know who will be chosen to participate. Now then, let's begin."
As the numbers moved around the generator, it selected the desired number.
"Ah let's see...... ah! Row seven, seat three. Congratulations! You have been selected to experience magic firsthand for an entire minute! Please, come forward. My assistant will take you beside the magic box. It might be a little cramped up but we have made necessary arrangements to make it as comfortable as possible. You need not to do anything but no matter what strange things might happen, don't come out of the box. If the magic is interrupted, who know where you might end up? You might even find yourself in the Fortress of Meropide. The selected audience member got quite uncomfortable but obliged.
"Alright, before I enter the box, there is one more thing I would like you all to do. Could you all give me a countdown. I won't be able to see anything in pitch black, so I'll be relying on your roaring countdown." As the crowd started counting down, Lyney went inside the box.
"60!.....59!.....58!.....57!.....56!" Both you and Paimon shouted.
"Huh? Why aren't you counting Neuvillette?" Paimon asked.
"I'm simply counting in my head. I think things are exciting enough in here as it is. You can clearly see how excited (Name) is already."
Paimon gaze went on (Name) who had practically stars in her eyes, still showing interest and enthusiasm towards the show.
"40!.....39!.....38!....."
"Mr. Lyney, are you alright in there? Are you ready?" One of the assistants asked Lyney.
"Yes I'm fine,I'm fine.... I'm just double checking the right direction. It would be disaster if we get sent to the wrong places, for example, mid air right above the audience." Lyney said with confidence and no hint of doubt in his abilities.
"Even though Lyney's saying all that, he doesn't seem nervous at all!" Paimon remarked.
Shortly after there was a loud thud. You were slightly alarmed by the sound and jolted up a little.
"Hm? Are you alright?" Neuvillette asked.
"Oh...Um...yeah! I thought I just....heard....something." You said as your voice faltered a little.
Did he not hear that?
"25!.....24!.....23!....."
"What's wrong Mr. Lyney?! I can still hear you moving in there!" The assistant hissed at Lyney.
"I seem to have knocked down a decoration. I'm trying to fix it but it's pitch black in here and I can't see anything." Lyney said still sounding very calm.
"Nevermind the decoration. We don't have time for that. We have a show to worry about." The assistant replied.
"No that's unacceptable. I want my show to be perfect! Don't worry, we still have twenty seconds left."
"19!.....18!.....17!....."
"Ah, it seems that things aren't going quite as planned. I apologize everyone. It seems like you all are counting a bit faster but that's all right. Ten seconds is still plenty of time." Lyney remarked.
