"Charges have now been pressed and as such,a trial is in order. Well, Aether, it seems Lady Furina has set you in sights, including Ms. (Name). But, putting her dramatic rhetoric aside for a moment, I would like to ask both of you..... Are you two willing to act as Mr. Lyney's attorneys and defend him in this case?" Neuvillette asked in a calm tone.
"Yes, I am." The traveller said without hesitation.
"Mhm~ count me in aswell!" You exclaimed with a smile.
"Very well then. The trial will be held in say from now in the opera house. Both sides may investigate the scene to build their cases and search the truth. Lyney and his troupes are all potential suspects and shall remain within the opera house. The audience may begin to leave in an orderly fashion once they have been cleared by the Gardes." Neuvillette cleared before The Hydro Archon herself interrupted the tension.
"A day isn't that long. We already know about the truly amazing skills of the most eminent attorney, Miss (Name), Let's see what kind of case this big-shot Outlander can build in such a short amount of time. Hehehehe...I'm really looking forward to it." Furina said only desiring drama and a 'show' for her and her people.
EVERYONE STARTS TO LEAVE......

.Your expression dropped and you left out a saddened sigh. The traveller and his companion had seemed to notice your expression and were concerned about you, who was usually so cheery.
"Uh (Name)? Are you ok?" The traveller's companion asked.
You seemed to realize that you were still visible to others. Your eyes widened a bit you regained your composure.
"Ah! I'm fine,I'm fine. I was just thinking about something, no need to worry!" You said with a reassuring smile.
The fairy just nodded her head seeming to be convinced by that smile.
'I can't tell them yet...'

You all went backstage to meet Lyney and Lynette. As you saw the two familiar figures, the fairy and the traveller ran up to him."Lyney!" Paimon had yelled with a worrying expression.
"Sorry about everything that happened just now, were you frightened?" Lyney asked, his voice changing into a lifeless one.
"Of course! Who wouldn't be frightened after witnessing an accident like that?" Paimon asked, her voice shaking.
"Yeah, I'm a little shaken up myself...How could this happen? And poor Cowell..." Lyney said clutching his head in frustration.
"I know you two already claimed that you both would defend me, but now it's just us talking...Tell me, do you think I could possibly be the murderer?" Lyney asked genuinely.
The traveller replied with a 'no' while you just shaked your head.
"Good to hear...Thank you so much for trusting us." Lyney said with gratitude, resting his hand on his chest.
"I'm sure everyone sees me as the biggest suspect at this point. But if you ask me the whole things is mysteries layered upon mysteries, such that all that's left is confusion. I don't know whether what happened there on stage was purely and accident or not...and I don't know why poor Cowell was in the box. As for how the girl chosen from the audience could suddenly dissapear, I'm afraid I don't have any answers, either. If someone tampered with my performance, then we need to figure out what they did. Even a skilled magician like myself couldnt pull all that off in just one minute." Lyney explained trying to sound convincing that he wasn't guilty.
"Yes it is very strange but there's no denying what happened." Traveller replied.
"Which is precisely why we need to investigate. As this book says 'The impossible could not have happened. Whatever happened most have been that which is possible'." Paimon had quoted, wearing the most questionable glasses with a moustache.
"Where did you get those glasses?" Aether asked in a monotone voice, crossing his arms.
"Paimon bought them when we were reading at the bookshop in the city earlier. Pretty cool, huh? Don't worry, Paimon used her own savings to buy them. It wasn't from our travel funds" Paimon replied with a grin on her face.
"WAAH! YOU LOOK SO COOL IN THESE GLASSES!" You exclaimed with a precious smile.
"I think they look cute on you, Paimon." Lynette said still having a monotone voice but showing a faint smile.
"You two have good taste. Hehe." Paimon said, giggling to herself.
"Haha, that's the right attitude. Feeling depressed isn't going to help me now, I need to get back to my normal self." Lyney said.
"THAT'S THE SPIRIT, LYNEY!" You exclaimed at the magician.
"But with Gardes watching our every move, it's going to be especially difficult for Lynette and I to prove our own innocence. Good thing you all agreed to be our attorneys, thanks for that. We'll be counting on you."
Lyney finished his statement."Yes, thank you so much." Lynette also expressed her gratitude.
"I won't let you down." Aether reassured.
"Yup yup! We are totally gonna win this case, especially with me here!" You declared.
"Geez... talk about being full of pride." Paimon whispered.
"Hey! Let me be happy for awhile." You replied.
"Aren't you always happy? Anyways, since we're going to start investigating, Paimon has a question. Where did Lynette go during the performance?" The fairy continued.
"Ah, well...I'm afraid that would involve some of our essential trade secrets as magicians..." Lyney hesitates to reveal the truth.
"The secrets behind our magic are past saving, Lyney." Lynette said.
"I suppose you're right. The truth behind our tricks is going to be important evidence that will be weighed during the trial. Ah! 'Tis truly a pity. As a magician, our show is a work of art. We've poured countless hours and spared no effort in perfecting it." Lyney declared dramatically.
"Hey! Get to the point or I'll leave." You weren't having it.
"Geez ok but we should go somewhere else if we're going to discuss our magic tricks. We'll go speak with the Gardes, and in the meantime, you can go investigate the stage and the seating areas." Lyney said before leaving.
"Alright, let's go have a look while the investigation team are still here. Detective Paimon is on the case!" Paimon said being overjoyed and excited.
"Mhm~ let's make this the most-
"Memorable trial ever!"
The end
