_______________

Don't confuse our friendship with something casual; it's more than that, even if it's without commitment."_

______________

Emerging from her concealed vantage point, she briskly approached Jimin.

Her skirt swayed gently with each step, her white shirt standing in stark contrast to the sunlight streaming through the windows.

"What were you doing there?" she inquired, her grip on Jimin's shoulder growing harsh, almost threatening in nature.

A lopsided smile graced her face.

Jimin, yanking his hand away and casting her a disdainful glare, responded curtly,

"None of your business."

Fed up with being manipulated into a game he never wanted to play, Jimin felt an added headache coming on.

"Where is Jungkook?" she demanded once more, her arms now folded sternly.

"Momo, I need you to just go find him yourself and leave me the fuck alone," Jimin retorted irritably,

gathering his scattered books from the floor as he walked away, slightly brushing against Momo's shoulder, her gaze locked on his retreating figure.

.....

He yearned to read, but he couldn't even do that. He was annoyed, not only with Jungkook but with himself for becoming such a pushover.

He needed to vent, and he knew just the person to call.

"Kiko, meet me at my house at 6 tonight," he typed, sending the text before returning his phone to his pocket.

He walked to his locker, retrieved the necessary book, and settled at a desk near the window.

A few minutes passed as he turned page after page, delving into the topic of aphasia.

Then, Taehyung, slowly pulling the book away from him, broke his concentration.

"Hi," Taehyung murmured in a hushed tone, still embarrassed by the scene he had caused earlier.

"Hi," Jimin replied awkwardly, his fingers fidgeting with each other.

"I wanted to apologize for my actions that day. I know I shouldn't have kissed you," Taehyung whispered, avoiding direct eye contact with Jimin.

"That's okay, but next time, don't act so impulsively."

It was the perfect moment to confess his feelings, yet something, or someone, held him back from uttering those three words.

He felt trapped in a prison with no keys, unsure of how to escape.

He had searched for a way out but was beginning to lose hope.

Rubbing his nape and looking down, Taehyung offered a bottle of water to Jimin.

"I noticed the other day you had a sore throat, so I brought this. It's mixed with throat soothers."
