"True friendship is like a rare gem, beautiful, precious, and capable of bringing light into your life. Toxic friendships, on the other hand, are like stones that only weigh you down, no matter how pretty they may appear."

"Fuckable friend"

______________

Jimin walked out of the cosy coffee shop, the smell of fresh coffee in the air.

He was on a busy street with lots of colourful shops and people chatting around him.

He thought about what he had just said to Taemin, "No, I'm sorry."

Jimin didn't want a romantic relationship with Taemin, but he thought they could be good friends.

As he strolled down the bustling street, he felt the wind in his hair.

The city was busy and lively, full of energy and noise.

Jimin knew this meeting would stick with him.

It reminded him that even if you don't want a romantic relationship, you can still make unexpected friends.

And as he continued walking, he couldn't help but smile, thankful for the chance to possibly become friends with Taemin, while the world around him continued to be busy and alive.

Jimin opened the door to his home, his heart heavy with anticipation.

His phone rang, and as he answered it, a gentle but sombre voice on the other end from the funeral home began speaking,

"Hello, this is Smith Funeral Services. We understand this is a difficult time, Jimin, and we wanted to remind you about the payment for your mother's funeral."

Jimin's voice quivered as he replied,

"Yes, of course."

The funeral director continued,

"The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10th, at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Memorial Chapel. We've also arranged for a small gathering afterwards at the Riverside Reception Hall. We kindly request that you come to our office tomorrow to complete the payment process."

As Jimin listened to those words, a flood of memories rushed over him.

He couldn't hold back the overwhelming sadness that enveloped him.

With tears streaming down his face, he dropped his phone to the floor, the sound of it hitting the ground echoing through the quiet room.

Kneeling there on the floor, Jimin's wails filled the room.

His sorrow was palpable, a deep well of emotions that seemed to engulf him.

The walls of his home seemed to close in on him, every corner echoing with the emptiness left by his mother's absence.

Photographs of happier times stared back at him, intensifying the waves of nostalgia that washed over him.
