Hello everyone. Long time no see, am I right?
I randomly decided to look back on this story that I honestly had forgotten about until now, which it is 12:30 am where I am currently. I look back at this story and cringe over all of the grammatical errors, carrot jokes, and how fast paced everything was in the beginning. I do, however, look back at this story and smile. When I first began writing this story I was 14 years old. To me One Direction was my entire life (they still kind of are tbh) and it is interesting to look back and see how I've transformed. I wrote this story as and insecure chubby girl with little amounts of friends who knew that these 5 boys, technically now 4 but that's a whole other ordeal, would love me without even knowing me. Now, I'm the same age as Alexis is in the story. I'll be starting my senior year of high school, I'm a section leader in my marching band, theatre president, and I've had a boyfriend for over a year now.
I wish 14 year old Lexi knew how great her life was going to become. Sure she's still that awkward chubby girl, but there's nothing wrong with that. And One Direction are still slaying everything they do so that's always a plus.
Thanks to everyone who read this story. I'm still surprised anyone even read it. The reason I stopped writing it was because I realized how cliche the story was. To be fair, when I first wrote this story there weren't many other fanfics like it. Slowly, all of them became like this so that's why I stopped. That, and I loved living in this "Harry Styles is my boyfriend" fantasy land a little too much, and it was probably more healthy for me to not write creepy fanfiction about a person I love haha.
I'm writing this now just to check in and see if anyone even still reads this. Also, I apologize for how embarrassing my bio is. Eighth grade me thought I was so cool. I do kind of miss the old days in the 1D fandom though. Everything was so much simpler in 2012. Though if 2012 me knew Zayn was going to leave the band she would have flipped her shit.
Not sure what else to say now. Sorry to those who always messaged me and wanted more chapters. Lets just say I promise Lexi and Harry lived happily (get it like the song. I'm punny) ever after. Hope everyone has a nice life. -L
