Black Truths

TW// Blood

The face worn by an inexperienced young woman,

more truth told within the words slurring out her mouth.

Untold honesty picked apart piece by piece

aren't believed by her most trusted ally.

The upset in between the lines show her vulnerability

and sorrow.

There are emotional scars left upon her face that have stayed longer than anyone else has,

so the sophisticated flowers growing out of her soul

shows the change in seasons.

The frailness beneath her ribcage after the flowers have grown,

weaken the flower petals and soon fall off.

The drop to the ground shows her that the sun has faded and taken away her smile

that is now aching.

The young woman picks up the flower petal and it swarms her with dejection and resentment.

The memories flood over her and a new flower begins to grow from her feet,

a black prickly rose.

She plucks the rose from her bare, earth-like feet

and blood drops from her finger onto the field of black roses.

Fields and fields of lies ahead of her eyes bring back memories of despair of her childhood.

She sulks sitting on the land of flowers piercing through her spine,

that will not heal unless someone touches her soul with the words

"I'm sorry".
