The moment Thia opened the book she was dumbfounded by what she saw, there was absolutely nothing in the book, other than her reflection as well as the whole library. Thia looked towards Rosella who was squatting next to her looking at some other books.
"Rosella? Is the book supposed to be this clear?" Thia glanced at Rosella for a few minutes before showing her the pages within the book, although the pages really felt like paper, her reflection could still be seen throughout the book.
Rosella stood up with a little bit of difficulty as her legs had been cramped up while squatting. Taking the book from Thia's hands, Rosella did not seem surprised at all. She just continued flipping through as if the book was about to throw something out of it. The book was quite thick, however, Thia did not flip through the pages thoroughly.
"Ah...there is another mirror shard in here. It seems rather similar to the one that you have. Take it, maybe you'll see something like you described earlier on to me." Rosella allowed Thia to touch the second mirror shard that was compacted in between the pages of the book.
Thia gave herself a breather before touching the shard and just like before both of them were transported back to the evergreen forest, except this time it was raining and they were at the further southern part of the forest. Which in reality was now cordoned off by the barrier.
"Shut it will you, the princess is dead, that is the story we're going to tell the boss. Unless of course you'd rather die, then you can see yourself saying it."
"Anthony! We can't lie to him...what if he finds out after all there wasn't a body at all!"
"Chill will you Elliot, as long as I tell the boss everything will be fine now quit being a baby and get on. I still wonder how you even became an assassin with your timid personality..."
With that they were transported back to where they were. With a shocked looking expression on Rosella's face, Thia could tell that she had never experienced something so abnormal before it was definitely new to Rosella. Thia took the second mirror shard and held it in her hands, due to the sharp edges she had to hold it well so that she would not cut herself.
"Thia take this, it's a bag that can contain practically anything it keeps everything you need safe and nobody other than you can open it alright." Rosella handed over the bag that appeared in the air which helped Thia store those mirror shards since she had exactly four more to find. It would definitely be much easier.
"Not to worry only you and I can see the bag, I've made it that way for precautions." Rosella giggled as she tried her best to distract herself from what she had just witnessed. Thia looked at herself and her surroundings for a moment waiting for a response from Rosella as she continued grasping the information that was just laid out to her.
Rosella took a few steps around in a circle while she seemed to be thinking about her next moves. It looked as though she was very serious about this case. However, without a doubt, Rosella did have a response after a few minutes of silence and seriousness.
"I suspect that the forgotten mirror that you are looking for leads us to find out what exactly happened to the princess the day the king and queen got assassinated. And I suspect that Merlin wanted to burn all the books so that nobody other than him would be able to find the princess." Rosella pointed out all of the little spots that they had missed and brought all of it together as evidence.
With the suspicion Thia got, she sat down quickly looking towards the ground processing each and every information. But what about the voice that she had been hearing? Could it be the princess? But why now? Thia took a few minutes to brainstorm as she continued flipping though the book.
