The four of them gathered around the couch, intrigued but puzzled by the object Rufus had placed before them, covered in cloth.
Y/N tilted her head, her curiosity evident in her expression as she questioned, "And, this is...?"
Rufus retrieved a piece of parchment and let it float in the air, opening itself. He cleared his throat and began to read aloud, "Herein is set forth the last will and testament of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. First, to Ronald Bilius Weasley. I leave my Deluminator, a device of my own making, in the hope that, when things seem most dark..." He paused, unveiling the cloth from the Deluminator.
"...it will show him the light," Rufus said as he handed the Deluminator to Ron, who accepted it carefully, his eyes wide with surprise and gratitude.
"Dumbledore left this for me?" Ron murmured in awe as he played with the Deluminator, Rufus nodded. "Brilliant..." he passed. "What is it?"
Ron opened it like a lighter, and the lights around the room were immediately drawn into it. He closed it, and the lights returned to their original positions. "Wicked!" Ron murmured with a smile, clearly impressed by the magical device.
Rufus continued, "To Hermione Jean Granger, I leave my copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, in the hope that she finds it entertaining and instructive," he said, handing the book to Hermione.
Ron chimed in with a nostalgic memory, "My mom used to read me one of those. The Wizard and the Hopping Pot. Babbitty Rabbitty and the Cackling Stump." He chuckled at the recollection. However, Harry and Hermione looked slightly confused, while Y/N stared at Ron blankly, not recognizing the stories he mentioned.
"Come on, babbitty Rabbitty." Ron nudged, trying to crack a smile. "No?" he sulked, quickly ducking his head down in embarrassment.
"To Y/N Thornfield Crimson," Rufus continued solemnly, "I bequeath the Red Stone that Hagrid had once presented to her. I am aware, Y/N, that you have misplaced it, and I must stress that it is not intended for consumption." Rufus paused, locking eyes with Y/N, who responded with a wry smile and a scratch of her head.
Rufus exhaled audibly, turning the pages of the will. "...to aid her in the most challenging of circumstances, as if the forces of the universe conspire, causing time and space themselves to halt. May this stone serve as her guiding beacon."
"To Harry James Potter. I leave the Snitch he caught in his first Quidditch match at Hogwarts as a reminder of the rewards of perseverance..." Rufus paused, presenting Y/N with the red stone and extending the Golden Snitch toward Harry.
"...and skill," he murmured as he reluctantly transferred the Snitch into Harry's hands. Harry accepted it with care, his eyes reflecting a blend of appreciation and reminiscence.
Rufus reclined slightly and cleared his throat, continuing solemnly, "Dumbledore also left a second request: The sword of Godric Gryffindor. Regrettably, the sword of Gryffindor was not within Dumbledore's authority to bestow. As a historically significant artifact, its rightful place—"
