Chapter 5: Filling the Gaps

Marinette's P.O.V.

The first thing I did as soon as I woke up was to run out of my room and straight into Luka's. "Did you solve it? " I questioned him

"For god's sake Mari, do you not know how to knock?" Kagami says getting off Luka who is still as red as an angry bird trying to process his surroundings, "Did you have lunch?" Kagami asked, I glanced at the wall clock behind them- God it was noon already 

"No-anyway have you seen Damian?" 

"He went to school with the others," Luka says finally getting out of his daze. 

"Then what are you doing here?" 

"Waiting for you to get up, Field trip is in an hour- the others wanted to explore first" 

"Very well then, Meet me in the dining room in five, Dress According to the mission and Luka- Bring that stupid piece of paper with you" 

"Yes Captain" The both said jokingly. I dashed back to my room and changed into one of my own designs, Simple and cute, Surely suiting for a visit to school.

Marinette:

When I reached downstairs Luka and Kagami were already present there in their own attire.

 "Luka, did you and Nath decode the letter?" I asked sitting down and reaching for a plate of bacon, Hash browns, and eggs. 

"Partly, but we are still missing the major gaps" Luka replied 

"Read it out to me" I said 

"'Dear Mini-Me, Things are getting out of hand ever since _______' The name of our future enemy 'Has gotten__ hand on the Ancient Book of Magic.' This dash is for their pronoun" 

"I guess even revealing their gender to us is a threat" I questioned and Luka nodded. "Continue" 

"'These Artifacts you have right now are rare - it took some time for me and the others to retrieve them and They will be needed in 3 years' time. make sure your_______ Wears them.' We have no relatives or anyone important enough to try and protect so desperately and the future You said mentioned the exact number of years so the two conclusions from this can be First- Lila is not our ultimate enemy and second that-as you know within a few years of being legendaries there is a need to provide an Heir-" I chocked on my juice 

"Oh Fuck NO- I am not putting my babies...Continue"  Ignoring the wired look They both gave me.

"'After the ______attack,' Which I and Nath think can happen any day now but the letter does not mention the type of attack it is. As if escaping from the attack can cause a major change in the timeline 'I have grown weak but we are still not able to find a way to make someone else the _________ without me losing my ____.' As you can figure out this sentence is talking about you not being able to make someone else the guardian without losing your memories 'I hope you have a better option, Good luck.' Their timeline seems to have collapsed due to not being able to transfer the guardianship to anyone" 

After a long silence, I asked "Who else knows the answer to these gaps?" 

"Everyone in the household - though Talia and Bruce seemed happier at the thought of them getting a grandchild" Kagami says ending with a smirk. 

"And Damian?" 

 "He does not like the idea of you getting attacked" Luka said

"Well let's discuss it later- I am pretty sure that none of you have still entered our other house" They shook their heads. "Then let's fix a meeting there later tonight"

We were now right outside the school. I could see them even from here though their dresses were elegant and simple- they still stood out from the rest.

It looks like they forget to inform me about the tread containing Paints- Well atleast we all match. Just as I was about to reach them I heard a voice "Well, if it isn't Marinette Dupain-Cheng" Oh God Take me, She wore the same outfit as me
