The Water Town Ch. 9

Krieg's POV

After heading to the Blacksmith and gearing up, me and Goblin Slayer head to the Adventurer's Guild. I opened the door for her, once inside I closed the door and we looked for our party. We found them and began making our way to them, while doing so I heard many adventurers talking about how the Hero defeated The Demon Lord and his armies. Goblin Slayer and I arrived at our party who were celebrating the defeat of the Demon Lord. The Elf saw us and asked if we'd heard about The Demon Lord's defeat.

Elf: "Hey, Goblin Slayer, Krieg did you hear! The Hero defeated the Demon Lord's-"

Goblin Slayer proceeds to cut her off before she can finish her sentence.

Goblin Slayer: "That doesn't matter."

3rd Person POV

Goblin Slayer: "It's time to slay some goblins. The location is Water Town the reward is one bag of gold each. It's up to you if you want to come or not."

Priestess sighs at Goblin Slayer. Meanwhile Dwarf and Lizard Man continue with their business.

Elf: "Seriously..."

Priestess: "I thought I had it figured out, but now I know for sure. I wouldn't last if I were to continue being surprised by your every move."

Priestess stands up to Goblin Slayer and once again lectures her on how a discussion works.

Priestess: "So, listen. Like I said before, it's not a discussion when there really aren't any options."

Krieg/Goblin Slayer: "But there are options."

Priestess: "You're basically only giving us two options!"

Unsure, Goblin Slayer and Krieg just stand there as Priestess lectures them on their bad social skills. Elf cuts off Priestess.

Elf: "If we say we aren't going, you and Krieg will just go by yourselves, right?"

Without a second thought, Krieg and Goblin Slayer answered at the same time.

Krieg/Goblin Slayer: "Of course."

Elf smiles at the two.

Elf; "So she's right. This isn't a discussion."

Dwarf joins in on the conversation.

Dwarf: "Still, the fact Beard Cutter and Fire Breather is even mentioning it to us means that they softened up some, perhaps."

Lizard Man agrees with Dwarf.

Lizard Man: "Indeed. I do believe this is a good thing."

Lizard Man tosses another bite-sized piece of cheese in his mouth and enjoys it.

Lizard Man: "Sweet, sweet nectar."

Goblin Slayer and Krieg look at Priestess who sighs.

Priestess: "Then I'll do as I please. I'll go with you."

As Priestess decides to join the two so does the rest of the party.

Lizard Man: "The more spellcasters you have, the better."

Dwarf: "Oh, very well. We just finished getting our travel expenses in order, so we'll go with you."

The Elf stands up and slams her hand on the table looking at Krieg and Goblin Slayer.

Elf: "Once we're done slaying there goblins, you'll go on an adventure with us."

She then points in front of her at the two.
