So me and Ali have been here for a little while now, in this big place called London. We already got our sleeping back to normal, know where the most popular and tasteful restaurants are, and can locate many great stores... well me anyways. And it hasn't even been two weeks yet! But so far its been a dream. Both of us successful, doing what we love. Its like its not even real...
"So... Now will you tell me what you wrote?" I ask suspiciously. She's been hiding her article from me ever since I layed eyes on that paper. I could only see the writting through the paper, but I couldn't makeout what it actually said.
"No. I told you it was going to be a surprise, remember? And I've already told you this tons of times." She said.
I don't know why she's trying to keep this from me. I've known her for years now, and I can tell if she's lying or not, if she means something or not, or if she's simply trying to fake something.
"Oh yeah, I forgot", rolling my eyes. Wanting to get off the subject before something bad happens, I ask, "So how's it been with you and Toby?" I move over to the couch, on the far side near the window. She sits on the bar stool in the kitchen where I can see her, smiling and looking down.
"Its been great... I actually asked him out this morning! I asked him if he wanted to go on a lunch date with me tomorrow, and he accepted." She said excitedly. This Toby guy is someone I have never even met, let alone speak to, but I already have a good feeling about him. She always talks about him, and they always talk to eachother. She's a really nervous girl when it comes to guys, so I guess that's why she kinda ran away after he asked her out when they first met. And also why they haven't been out yet. So I was really shocked that she actually asked him out.
"Dude, that's awesome! I'm so proud of you!" I said with the biggest, most sincere smile across my face.
"Thanks." She said smiling. "I was pacing back and forth for a long time, debating wether or not if I should do it. Then I finally had all the pros and cons list great debate finished in my head, and decided to do it. After all, he wouldn't have came and ask me that if he didn't wanna go out... Right?"
"Right." I said supportively. She finished talking, and came over to sit next to me on the couch with a bowl of grapes and strawberries she freshly cut.
"But anyways, he said yes to going with me." She said with a grape in her mouth.
"That's great Ali." I said. And we continued eating the fruit she cut up. At the moment, I was really craving some pineaple.
"So... Now will you tell me what it is?" I asked, talking similarly to a litle kid. "Mick, how many times do I have to say this...?" She asked very annoyed. "ITS A SURPRISE. I'M. NOT. TELLING. YOU." She said loudly. "I know. I just like messing with you sometimes." I said as haply as I could be. And all Ali had was a face of pure annoyance.
The both of us continued eating the bowl of fruit listening to classical music, (my choice) until the fruit was done. She got up to go and put the bowl in the sink, then came back to right where she was sitting.
"Do you wanna go take some pictures? Or write? Or go do something?" I asked, mostly from bordome. "Noo... Not really." She said throwing herself backwards on the couch. "Today can be our lazy day. Ok?" She said. "Ok." I agreed. Both of us were a little tired from from being out at that club last night. The music was so loud, it nearly burst my ear drums. There was a huge crowd with way too many people. Everyone was sweaty and smelly because of it. And I didn't even really see a good looking guy while I was there. At least from where I was at. I couldn't tell with everyones heads in the way.
Anyways, me and Ali both ended up taking a two and a half hour nap on the couch, with the classical music still playing in the backround. Its amazing how much better and rested you feel after getting just a little more sleep.
The rest of the day kinda went like this: snack, use the bathroom, talk, snack, use the bathroom, talk, snack, use the bathroom, talk. We even got creative and somehow angled a mirrow while we were in the bathrooms in our rooms, to still watch TV in our rooms... Ultimate lazy day.
