Tbate: reliving the past

chapter 1

A/N: I just wanted to say before the story starts that English isn't my first language so you can expect mistakes from me. However I would like to get criticism to improve my writing along the way and I would love to get ideas from you guys for this story. This can be inspiration or something along those lines but will make things easier for me and the story more interesting. I also wanted you guys to know that my post schedule will be inconsistent, but I will try to keep it at 1 post a week That was al now let the story begin.

Arthur Leywin Pov

"where in god sake are we now!?" Regis exclaimed standing beside me

I was looking around trying to see something that can help me understand this zone better. However I was only met with a tunnel going only one direction. Runes engraved in them. It also didn't help that the runes where some sort of gliberish.

''I don't know where we are, we do know however what direction this zone want us to go" I finally answered regis.

I started walking while regis jumped inside me.

we were making our way to dicathen through the relictombs, after the victoriad I met up with Alaric and he gave me the supplies I needed. it's been a few days sinds that day, but i can't stress enough that a retainer or scythe has cought them for teaming up with me I hope my students don't talk about the event anymore. I haven't been the nicest to hem mainly to seth he was a good boy just that his family had been cought up between the war, even if it wasn't his fault or his family for what happend to elshire forest it still bothers me, and caera she was a good friend, someone who stood by me through most of my time here in Alaycra. I even would have called her my best friend if there wasn't a foundation of lies between us.

It's been half a hour and still no succes. looking at the walls for some clue or some sort but was still met with gliberish. I even moved my hands around the walls of this tunnel for a hidden room but nothing. regis also started to walk with me, because he was bored and wanted to stretch a little.

"maybe try coating yourself with aether, it can be like that underground city tunnel when you were there after losing the floating castle" regis suddenly said.

A sudden idea popped up. like regis said it indeed can be like that tunnel from the underground city from the djinns. If there is a secret aether spell here it makes sense why it was taking so long.

"you know you i'm still surprised that you can be smart sometimes" I said. "ofcoure i'm smart i'm the mighty and majestic regis after al" he said with a smirk i felt while he was floating in my core.

five minutes has passed before we were met with a light at the end of this forsaken tunnel. " princess, Look ahead, I see some light"

I looked ahead and saw the light regis was talking about. "finally" I mumbled to myself. Regis and i picked up some speed and started sprinting to the light. when we were there we entered a room with a statue holding a sing in his hands. the room was also made of the same runes that were making no sense. after looking around for a while I made my way to the statue. the sign also had runes. 

"go back in time to the loved ones you cherish"

"for this timeline,descendant, will now perish"

"now that is dramatic i thi-"before regis could finish the sentence he just teleported away.

"REGIS!!" I screamed before being engulfed in darkness.

I was slowly opening my eyes, looking up only being met with leaves and branches. I tried to  stand up but couldn't. with some effort the best I could do wat sit up. looking around again but better this time i saw tries that looked familiar. thinking about where I could have seen those trees a sudden mermory popped up. I know were I was, I was back in the elshire forest.

'go back in time to the loved ones you cherish, for this timeline,descendant, will now perish' that damn sign wasn't a lie after al. remembering the sign i also rememberd regis teleporting away after i read that sign.

 "regis!" I said out loud hoping he was here with me. regis floated out of my body but in his whisp form. "don't wory princess, even do i'm small the majestic me hasn't died" i sighed with relief that he was still here with me."you know were we are right?" i asked regis. "from what i can tell from your memories i would say we ended up in the elshire forest, but that isn't the problem for now." regis said.

"what do you mean?"i asked worried that something happend. "i got a list of some good things and some bad things, i will start with the bad things. i think you can tell we ended back in time not only that you lost your aether core and your sick armor is gone to , buttt you stil got your dragonic body however it's less than it was first i should say about 50%, the best thing is you got your mana core and beast will back, oh yeah and you still have your godrunes but there broken"regis basically explained it al; for me.

i tried activating my god runes not understanding how a godrune can be broken.it was far more slower than usual, i felt the aether making it's way to the rune but, it wasn't working. i tried every rune but the only one working was the storage rune. i picked up sylvies egg, i pushed eather in it and immediately noticed that there isn't a wall like something surrounding the core of the egg. a a flood of emotions flooded in me. happy that i got my mana core and silvia's beast will back and that i will see sylvie alot quicker than i had thought, sad on the other side that i lost my aether abilities.

"i guess you noticed but you can still use a little bit of aether, you can't augment yourself anymore but it's still something. as for how you can use it, it's because of your  dra-"                          "dragonic body" i interrupted regis

"would have been nice if you have let me finished but your correct."regis exclaimed

"so i have lost my aether abilties but gained my mana abilities back"i summarized it

"how would i deal with scythes later on then if i lost my most powerfull abilties?" i mumbled to myself. "well your body is stronger, you can now handle your beast will far better and you basically already got years of experience so you can just start from there again, if you add al up you can handle scythes as easily as with your aether core however that you can be stronger than with your aether core most likely not"regis hearing me said.

it was alot to think about, but was atleast happy that i can handle the scythes with just my mana abilities later on. i sighed knowing that there is alot to do. i put sylvies egg in the storage rune and stood up.

"one final thing, how about destruction?"i asked

"you can't use it anymore however i still can, perks of being majestic ya know"regis said with a smirk on his face."i think you forgot that without my aether core you won't be as strong as you were back then, your basically a dog with a cooldown"i said with a grin on my face. regis his face darkend at my remark."you're letting me starve because you are to broke to feed me"regis said even do he knows the situation were in he is still making jokes. i chuckled and said"don't wory you can get yourself food, but the most important thing is now that we need to save tess from those slave traders"

"yes our princess his princess, but i can't call you princess now can i?" regis said

"what do you mean you can't?"i asked him a little surprised he won't call me princess, but scared for what name he will call me now.

"your looks have changed your hair has turned from wheat coler hair to sand looking hair and your eyes are azure like when you were little but they have the same cat like split that you had with your golden eyes" regis said floating around me 

i was a little surprised that my old looks had mixed with the looks i had in alaycra, bud didnt think of it much.

"i would love to see my new self in the mirror, but we gotta start moving now and don't stay focused on my looks"

"aye aye new princess" regis answered me

regis floated in me and i started to sprint making my way to save tess.

A/N this was the first chapter, I don't know if this was short or not so let me know, also let me know how my writing was so that I can keep that in mind.
