Chapter seven - Chloe

"I hate Bio" We were at Luna's house studying. It was 10PM and everyone was at Josh's party.

"No bestie. We hate Bio" She sighed, while she took a sip of her water. "We should have fun, we already know all of this"

"Mmm gaslighting into thinking we know everything. You got me there" I agree with her, we should have fun.

"It won't hurt going to the party, even if it's just for an hour or so" She was convincing, and now I wanted to go too. Maybe I'll even see- Stop. 

"Yeah, it would be totally okay" I was, again, gaslighting myself.

She slowly closed her notebook. "We're ready and we're going to get an A"

I slowly closed my text book. "We're even in cute outfits, literally a sign from God"

"Exactly, it's fate. Plus my lovely boyfriend will be there"

Pause. Boyfriend????

"Boyfriend?!"

"I didn't tell you? Jake and I are official!" 

She yelled. I yelled. We both yelled.

I hugged her. "Oh my God! I'm so happy for you! Jake seems like such a good guy!" I really thought he was. Even though he was still a player, I believe in him.

"Well... let's go then!"

We went downstairs and Lu's parents were watching Glee.

"Hey girls, are you going somewhere?" Her mom asked us with the biggest smile.

"We were planning on going to a party, can we go?" We both smiled as well, trying to be convincing.

"You can, but don't come home too late. You both have school tomorrow" Her dad told us, hugging his daughter.

"Thank you Dad. Bye" She and I gave them hugs and left.

We entered the car and I immediately connected my phone to the car.

I had great music taste.

"All alone she was living, in a world without an end or beginning" I started singing.

"Baby girl was living life for the feeling. But I don't mind, I don't mind, oh!" Luna sang with me.

A few seconds later, the car was on maximum volume.

"In the night she hears him calling!" I screamed.

"In the night she's dancing to relieve the paaaaaaiiiin!" Luna screamed. "She'll never walk awaaaaayyy" 

"I don't think you understand" We both screamed.

God I love this song.

We entered Josh's house and we see strippers.

My God, this guy has Money with a capital M.

"Want a drink?" Lu faced me but I had to go to the bathroom first.

"Give me a minute, I have to go to the bathroom"

"Okay"

I went upstairs and she went to the kitchen.

I saw... something I shouldn't have seen.

Diego was making out with a girl.

Why did that make me sad? Angry? I don't like him.

We don't date, he could do anything he wanted and I was conscious of that.

Then why did I kept staring?
