Sleep had become impossible for Midas. The faction war with Shadow had taken over every single aspect of his life. Midas was the mastermind, meaning he did all the work from the agency. But for the past month, the conflict raged on day and night. Until today. Today, for some reason, was particularly calm. Midas took this as a perfect opportunity to rejuvenate his brain function, if it was there in the first place.
He layed in bed, drifting off into his very well deserved slumber. That is, until he felt a massive weight knock the breath out of him.
He opened his eyes, gasping for air. He looked down to the sight of Meowscles crashed on top of him, purring as he fell asleep.
"Meowscles, for the last time-" He pushed him to the side. "You can't sleep in my bed. You're six feet tall." With an annoyed grunt, he went back to his room and slammed the door. Midas tried to ignore the overwhelming amount of cat hair now on his bed.
After around five minutes, he finally managed to find a comfortable position and he dozed off into sleep once more. All he needed was just one full-slept night. Without sleep paralysis.

"Daraku," Kado Thorne said. "I understand your devotion to your music career, but you need to listen to me when I tell you about being careful." Kado put his hair up into a bun.
"There are people who want to hurt us, you know it by now. You matter the world to me, and I don't know how I'd live without you." Starfang scoffed.
"Kado, this is like the-" Kado shushed her. "I'm your father. Have some respect." He told her.
"I-, whatever. This is like the hundredth time you give me a lecture about hiding my vampire side, and I get it. You're worried." She tuned her guitar. "But I'm not a kid anymore. I know how to control the thirst. It doesn't affect me as it did before. You need to let me be."
Kado did not contest. She was right. He sighed. "Alright. I won't be here for a bit. I'm going to add a few more items to my collection. Be careful out there, kiddo."
By the time he finished his sentence, though, Starfang had already left the estate. He had no time to scold her for that, however.
He quickly ran down to his bedroom and shuffled through his drawer. He pulled out a toolbox from under a pile of clothes, and spread it along the floor. Kado had a taste for knives, and collected a number of them. But for today's job, he needed to bring out his favorite: a machete he had collected from a reckless explorer during the construction of his properties. All he needed was a clean cut of the man with the gold touch's arm, and he could further increase the value of his collection.
He read the time on his watch. Twenty-Six past eleven. It was time to go. He took the elevator to Sub-Level 2, the location of the vault. He entered and walked past his finest collection: The skull of a sentient skeleton made of gold, a kitten's shotgun, a knight's sword and shield, and many more items. But now, he was headed to wealth beyond anyone's imagination.
With the gold touch, Kado had the ability to turn anything he desired into pure gold. With that, he would become unstoppable.
He arrived at the Chronosphere; his time machine. For as long as he had the Zero Point's power, he could hop across time to any point of history that he desired. He sat in the seat and pulled the lever upwards and into the chamber. On the seat's panel, he set the date to 2020.2.25. He locked the lever in place, and activated the Chronosphere. Within a mere second, the machine glowed a bright purplish-blue color, and shook violently.
