Her:
Just company
>_<
It was the second day of the semester and I was getting ready for a day out with my friends.
It's not exactly a day out.
I was the basic friend who was going with them to insure that their drunk selves get back to res safely.
They all had taken part in convincing me that they really needed someone who was going to be sober while they drank their problems away was okay enough, especially when they made the offer to buy me some snacks.
Could never say no to a bar one, sour worms and a blue packet of Doritos.
What? A deal is a deal even thought I was still going to go with them cause I trust little people in town.
I walked out of my room before Simmi would have any time to complain on how she had to wait for. I got out and made sure to lock behind me.
Simmi and i started small talk until we eventually got to the parking lot and placement of her car.
What took me by suprise was the fact that Simmi had taken her mother's car instead of her father's today. It somewhat made me feel out of place cause I was used to the bakkie than this car.
The car she had came with a black polo, Volkswagen instead of her Toyota hilux.
"You love it or?" She asks.
"It's a change but as long as it gets us to our destination then I'm fine with whatever."
After saying that I had noticed that the other girls had not arrived yet.
"And?" I ask Simmi who was now on her phone avoiding the conversation that was bringing up.
This child has the nerve to rush me.
"Chomi!" I turn to look at the person calling out and it was Emily.
I shook my head but ran towards her anyways.
I had missed her so much. Today was her first day back from her homeland and I could say she looked happier than when she was in South Africa.
"How was Mozambique?" I ask while walking her to the car.
"It was so nice, I wish I was still there but school you know." She says giving me a sad smile.
"But I'm happy to be back with my friends. I really missed hulle mense." She says going to hug Simmi.
And as usual the two girls starter talking about the usual as we waited for the rest of the girls to arrive.
After 10 minutes all 5 of us were ready to leave and go to the party that Simmi was invited to by her bestfriend, Mina.
The 5 of us included Simmi, Emily, Daniella, Kayla and I.
Mina and Simmi honestly have been close since Grade 9 and when I mean close, I mean close enough to be each other's soulmates but they keep on saying that there is nothing between the two of them.
..
As we entered the road which Mina lives on, there were already a bunch of cars infront and besides the house but by the luck of Simmi being her bestfriend, we had no need to worry because Mina had reserved some parking places at her neighbors yard.
"Let's have some booze!" Emily shouts as soon as we are out the car and i could already say that I was somewhat regretting the whole snack thing.
