Chapter Two: The Start Of Summer Beach Bonfire.
I took a quick glance in the mirror one last time. I decided to wear my dark blue denim shorts which I paired with a brown belt. I put on my white drawstring front puff sleeve crop top and a white sandals to compliment my top. I left my hair exactly how it was, halfway up and curly. I just neaten it up a little. I decided to do my makeup as light as possible. I applied some blush to make my cheeks pop. My eyeliner was thin but my mascara was thick. I never leave the house without mascara. I threw on a silver chain with a small diamond on it, my silver bracelet that Noah got me for my sixteenth birthday and a few rings so that my fingers didn't look bare.
Suddenly there was a bang on my room door. It was Noah. "Come on, Liv. Jeremiah is waiting." Said Noah, from the other side of the door.
I quickly grabbed my phone and then opened my door. Noah was dressed in a plain white button down T-shirt and a black shorts with white palm trees on them. He was wearing his white sneakers and the only accessory he wore was his watch. "Let's go." I said and walked past him.
Coming out of her room, our mother smiled at the two of us. "You kids look great." She said. "Have fun tonight and don't get in trouble." She warned us. Our mother was a cool mom. She let us do whatever we wanted but we did have boundaries. We knew not to take advantage of her kindness by going too far. She trusted us and we didn't want to let her down.
"Mom, you know we wouldn't." Noah said. He kissed my mom on the cheek before running down the stairs. "Bye mom, love you." He said when he was down the staircase.
"Love you." I said and hugged my mom goodbye. "Don't wait up for us." I said to her, just before I could walk out the door.
"Love you kids. Be safe." Said mom as I closed the door.
Jeremiah was waiting outside, just as Noah had said. Sitting in his red jeep, he tapped the stirring wheel as he booped his head to the rhythm of the song he was listening too. A huge smile formed on his face when he spotted us. "Hey guys." He said from inside the car.
"I call shotgun." I said and ran past Noah. He didn't even fight me on it.
Jeremiah smiled as soon as I jumped into the front seat. "Hi." I said to him.
The drive to the bonfire was short. It was about a five minute drive. There wasn't a lot of people there. About 100 people, maximum if you asked me. Walking down to the bonfire, Jeremiah was greeted by almost everyone. The guys spoke to him as cool as they could whilst the girls practically trembled in his presence. It was bizarre. We had finally reached a group of people, sitting by the fire. One of them was Conrad.
When we got there, Jeremiah greeted all of them and then started to introduce us to them. There was Topper who was shirtless and already pissed drunk out of his mind. Next to him was Cam Cameron who looked like he was already bored of the bonfire. Next to Cam was Belly who Jeremiah had mentioned to us earlier. Next to Belly was Gigi who was completely eye fucking Jeremiah the entire time. Then there was Dara. Next to her was Nicole who was sitting very close to Conrad and next to Conrad was Steven who is Belly's brother. Sitting on top of Steven was Shayla who was the only person who stood up to hug Noah and I. Steven followed after her while the rest of them remained seated and just said "hey."
Jeremiah disappeared for a moment. He seemed very popular and was probably doing his rounds. I looked around to try and find him but I had no luck. Suddenly I felt a presence standing in front of me. It was Conrad. "Hi." He smiled.
