"Going back to earth is such a hassle" Jimin mutters as he rubs his forehead. "Is breakfast ready yet?" Jungkook asked with a sigh, leaning back on the couch.
"Will you stop thinking about food for one second and help us figure things out?" Taehyung snaps at him, annoyed by his careless attitude.
"Fine, how about we stay in hell for another week and we go back to earth the next? We clearly have some unfinished business here" Jungkook suggests, annoyed with the serious discussion he had to participate in first thing in the morning.
"What? No! You—you can't just stay here for another week! Mom said you guys will take me back to earth in a few days!" Nabi butts into the discussion, her voice coated in disbelief.
"Things change, Byeol. Now, stop raising your voice and throwing a tantrum" Jimin says, his tone hinting that he wasn't all that pleased with her sudden outburst. "But I don't want to stay here... this is more dangerous than earth, why can't you guys just send me back?" She whines her shoulders slouching from disappointment.
"Regardless of where you are, we are capable of keeping you safe, that's why mom is trusting us with your life. It Doesn't matter earth or hell, we have monsters in both. Now just eat" Jimin says, pushing a load of food onto a plate.
"What about the chicken leftovers from last night?" She asks, her eyes dull and bored. "I sent them to your mom so she could have them" Jimin says. "What? B-but what about me? I liked those!" She whines again.
"You're a real brat, huh?" Taehyung's voice cuts through the tension between Jimin and nabi. He chuckles before getting up to stand next to her. "In case you forgot, sweetheart, we're your brothers, not your mom. We don't tolerate tantrums like this" He says, his eyes darkening.
Nabi went silent the moment she heard his voice. She didn't dare to mess with him. "If you think you can disrespect us like this, then you are wrong. Disobedience and lying are two things that we were never taught to tolerate, keep that in mind before you make any rash decisions" Taehyung warns her.
"Don't worry, she'll eat. Won't you, butterfly?" Jungkook asks as he dragged her chair next to his. She nodded timidly, looking down at her lap. The courage she had to disrespect Jimin had dissipated.
She knew her gimmicks wouldn't work here, not when there were three pairs of eyes piercing through hers. Ignoring the extreme hatred she had for the salad in front of her, she opened her mouth for the first bite.
"See, she's good. Just needs a bit of polishing, isn't that right, nabi?" Jungkook asked with a teasing smile. Nabi glared at him while angrily chewing the food he put in her mouth. "I would kill you if you weren't a demon" She whispered to him as her fingers dug into the skin of his forearm.
"Am I supposed to feel pain?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he mocked her pathetic attempt to hurt him. "No, but it's supposed to let you know that I despise you" She hissed back. "Maybe that's why you ran to me when you were scared" He smirked, earning another glare from her.
"Stop bickering and eat, we have a lot of things to do today" Jimin scolds them. His harsh tone made the two snap out of their own world. Nabi's eyes saddened hearing the way he spoke to her. His voice was drowned in displeasure due to her outburst earlier.
A few hours later
Nabi was trying to find the kitchen, in hopes of finding some snacks she could sneak in her room. The disgusting taste of the vegetables never left her mouth. She wanted to drown it out with something tasty like flavoured yogurt or chocolate, but she struggled to reach the kitchen to make a move.
While she was walking through the hallway, she heard noises that sounded like whispers. The voice was familiar, but she couldn't quite place a finger on it. She found herself being rooted to the ground, unable to move.
