Daryl hasn't said anything to Meave despite the fact that they've been travelling for hours. Meave still prefers to ride shotgun on the motorcycle than in a car. She enjoys the special feeling of riding a motorbike because she has never done it before.
Her beautiful blond hair is blown away by the wind. Then suddenly the vehicles in front of them come to a complete halt. That is when they notice it, there are several dozen cars in front of them. Luckilu they can simply go through it. It's working till the van stops working.
Meave is conversing with Sofia and Carl as they search the cars for supplies. This is the first time she has really talked to them. She doesn't talk alot, she just mainly listens to them. Meave already dislikes Sofia, she doesn't know why, she just does.
As she looks around she sees that Dale and Glenn are working on the van. While the other men go search of more fuel and supplies.
Meave, Sofia and Carl are discussing their lives prior to the end of the world. Then they hear Rick scream "Carl, Sofia, Meave, get down on the ground under the cars!" They all run as fast to a car and crawl under it. Meave and Carl are both hiding beneath a red car, while Sofia is hiding across them under a blue car.
Meave notices dozens of walkers passing her. She is terrified, but Carl is there to help her. They both hold each other's hands to calm each other down.
When all of the walkers have vanished. Sofia emerges from beneath the vehicle. Just then, a walker passes by. The walker notices Sofia and crawls over to her. Sofia flees into the woods, followed by multiple walkers. Rick goes after her.
Everyone runs to the side of the woods where Sofia vanished. They're all hoping she makes it out of the woods alive. While Carol is sobbing uncontrollably for her daughter.
Meave thinks, Sofia is so stupid for coming out from under the car when there could still be walkers walking around. She could easily have stayed under the car for a longer period of time.
After a while Rick is the only one who returns. "I lost her," he said. "I told her to stay in a spot for me, but when I returned, she wasn't there." Carol's tears get more intense.
After a while the majority of the men return to the woods in search of Sofia. After a while, only Glenn and Shane return. They claim to have discovered her trail. Everyone goes back to work except Carol, who is still sobbing for her daughter. Meave notices it and approaches her. She then tries to console her. Luckily Carol's tears have stopped. After that they then converse for a short time.
Carl shouts "Meave come!" Carol nods as Meave looks at her. Meave leaps from the trunk of the car in which they were both sitting and walks to Carl.
She likes him because he is nice, kind, and humorous. Meave feels entirely comfortable in his presence. She is relieved to have found a friend. Despite the fact that she is unsure if Carl feels the same way. At the very least, she hopes so.
As she walks towards Carl, she smiles. And he returns her smile. He suggests going to the cars to look for supplies. Perhaps they will discover something interesting.
It's becoming dark outside when Rick and Daryl emerge from the woods. Carol rushes over to them. They'd lost track of her. They tell the rest that they will continue with their search the next day. Carol bursts into tears as she hears the news.
Meave feels awful for Carol. Even though she didn't like her, she still doesn't deserve to be alone in the woods. So she feels bad for her.
After a while they all eat something. Meave has to eat canned beans, which she despises. She wants to spit out every bite she takes. But she makes every effort to swallow it. She is attempting to hide her disgust she has to the food. Bedides she must eat it or else she will go hungry. In addition, she is too afraid to tell the others that she dislikes canned beans. She doesn't want to appear ungrateful after all they've done for her.
Then they all go in search of a car to sleep in. Meave locates a van. The back of it is completely empty, making it an ideal spot to sleep in. Meave and Carl are laying in the back of the vehicle. Rick and Lori are both sitting in the front seats.
"It was pretty scary today, huh?" Carl whispers. "It really was, and thank you for being there," Meave says quietly. "Of course I-" "Hey whisperers, time to go to sleep." Rick interrupts Carl. They both turn around and go to sleep.
The following day everyone is getting ready to look for Sofia. Meave and Carl are also going. It took some time to persuade the others that they could come. But, thankfully, it worked. When Meave is packing her belongings, she overhears Dale and Andrea arguing. She is intrigued as to why they fight. But she can't understand what they're saying.
It's most likely related to the fact that they both spent so much time at the CDC. When the others escaped. Because that was very strange. Oh, wait, Andrea, like the other women, might have wanted to stay. That's not going to happen. Why would she do such a thing? Meave thinks.
They come across a tent as they hike through the woods. Everyone must remain silent. Meave hopes Sofia is in the tent, but she does not believe she is. As Rick and Daryl approach the tent, they point their firearms at the opening. Daryl then opens it. But there is no Sofia, only the lifeless body of a man who stepped out. They have already walked for hours.
They are all surprised when they hear a church bell ring. They're all under the impression that Sofia needs help. As a result, everyone follows the sound. When they get at the church, there are only a few walkers inside.
Everyone is disappointed that Sofia is not present. Because everyone is fatigued, they all rest in the church. Carol is praying for her daughter while Meave is seated in church drawing. After a while, the group decides to split up because it would soon be dark. One party searches for Sofia, while the other returns to camp. Meave and Carl would both like to travel in search of Sofia. They can come after convincing the others.
The group walks quietly through the woods. Meave and Carl are walking next each other. Rick and Shane are walking in front of them. Meave feels uneasy in Shane's company. She ignores it because Carl is with her.
After searching for a while, they come across a deer with the most stunning fur and antlers. Meave and Carl are both getting closer to the deer. The deer notices them but does not flee. He just stares at them both.
Meave then hears a big bang. When she opens her eyes, she notices the deer in front of her has been shot. Then she turns to face Carl, who is lying on the ground. His stomach is covered in blood.
