"𝐈 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃'𝐕𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐓 𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐓"

"Don't be silly." Noelle scoffed as she took the mirror out of the man's hand to adjust his tie. He reached for it, wanting to obsess over himself a little, wanting to pick out any flaw that he could find. He was nervous, and understandably so. He hadn't been on a date since his wife had died. He had never even thought about another woman until lately. Noelle had asked him in passing, she hadn't meant anything by it, it was an innocent question that had come up in conversation, but it had started something. It had made him think, and now, here he was, getting ready to go on a date. "You look great. You're a catch and tonight will be great." Noelle reassured the man, a smile across her face that put him at ease. "Stiles, tell your dad he looks great." she snapped, the boy on the sofa, unimpressed by all of it as he sat in a sulk.

"You look great," he mumbled. Noelle turned to him with narrowed eyes that told him to sound a little more enthusiastic and genuine. "And you're lucky to still have hair to fix at your age." the boy added. Noelle gasped, flailing her arms as she wondered why she tried.

"Ignore him. He's an idiot." the blonde urged the man, throwing another sharp look at Stiles yet again as he held his hands up in defense. "Scott, help me out?" she urged.

Unlike the man's son, he agreed with Noelle, telling him that he did in fact look great. Stiles sat rolling his eyes at the two of them. He didn't understand why his father was doing it, he'd never seemed interested in dating before, and he still went on about his mother every time he had a drip of alcohol in his system. As far as he had been concerned, the man was still very much hung up on his late wife.

"Well, thank you, children I should have had." Noah nodded at the two who smiled back at him proudly while his actual son looked between all three of them with great offense, he thought the compliment was a good one. Then again, when he had scored his badass huntress girlfriend, the whole process had taken a lot longer than he had hoped. For a moment, Noah seemed to have a good amount of confidence for someone going on a date after a long time, but something inside of him quickly changed as it shattered. "Oh, what the hell am I doing? This is a terrible idea." The man complained as he undid the perfect tie around his neck, trying to take back everything that Kinsey had worked on.

"Hey, hey, hey." Noelle stopped him, fixing his tie yet again. "Stop that. This is not a terrible idea, this is a trial run. If it goes badly, so what? You put yourself out there. You were brave. And I think it's a really great thing that you're doing." she said like it was an inspiring speech in front of all of America. Scott and Stiles nodded, agreeing with her, making the man feel slightly better about it all as he took a deep breath, allowing the blonde to fix his hair. "Beacon Hills will not implode in your absence just because you went on a date with one woman."
