Chapter 1: The Beginning

    (Pov: Minh)

I hear a ringing, loud and mundane. A yawn commences after the realization it is the start of another simple day.  My legs peer to the side of my bed, whilst slowly creeping my hand to my phone.

"9:08 AM, late yet again, Mom," said quietly to myself, as

I still had morning fatigue.

I feel bad for my mother. After she made me the owner of the coffee shop I've still been very lazy. Months later she is still helping me. Unfortunately, Can't complain about monotonous things forever. I quickly jump out of bed, throwing on a decent looking outfit with my apron, and my name tag saying "Minh Hua".

Oh wait, I forgot to introduce myself. Hi, Im Minh Hua, I like cheesy romance tv shows with a guilty pleasure for fantasy hero esc. books and movies. My mom, Celia, was an immigrant from China, who had the great ambition to run their own coffee place. B ecause of her work ethic and headstrong attitude, she was able to run a place all on her own called "Coffee Cloud Nine." A couple decades later my mother found her boyfriend (now husband) and had me and my younger sister.

Now back to the story, After shortly putting on my outfit I grabbed everything I needed, while being on the clock, and drove swiftly to work. Before going in the front door I already knew that my sister was working at the front desk. Opening up the door, thank the lord it was a Saturday because she was able to keep the coffee place afloat while little ol' me was still asleep.

"Sorry sis, I was very busy doing stuff last night so I had t-" I was quieted by my sister. "It's okay Sis, I always got your back". letting out a soft sigh of relief knowing that my sister is very great.

The fact that she is only fifteen and still helps me out with the restaurant constantly is something that has made me have alot of respect for her. Shortly after that I started to make a simple coffee with a strawberry cream cake. Then, Alex said "strawberry cupcake with a vanilla milkshake." Which followed with me letting out a sharp sigh once realing that this will be a very long day. Once making all of the food and drinks, I tapped on my sister's shoulder asking her where I'm meant to deliver the ordershe than said "I saw them go into the section decorated in clouds and I gave them the card number eight." she said, glazing past me amongst her work.

After her instructions, I hustled fastly while trying not to land flat on my face. Making it to the area fastly, Looking down to make sure there weren't going to be items dropping again. Then, out of nowhere, Lazily looked up and there was a feeling like a firm push on my body. Recovering my balance to make sure I didn't drop everything, yet still despite my efforts there was still food and drinks fumbled and dropped. The strawberry milkshake spilling. Brushing it off as I saw my sister clutching some paper towels I walked to where my spill had occurred. Looking up to see what had happened, only to see a sweater made of polyester directly in my face. The figure backed up to reveal a casually dressed young man with comically messy and curly brown hair. His sweater was hanging on his shoulder. He was wearing a red jersey accentuating his slit build. And he was also wearing tiny bracelets, quite fashionable for such a lazily put together outfit.

"U-um sorry, I was looking at my phone... I can help clean it up." He said with a nervous tone. I shrugged, implying that it was okay. We shared a slight giggle and he stooped down to assist the mess. I was slightly entranced by his monotone voice that I almost forgot that in my hands were loads of drinks and cakes that are all cold now. "Thanks Minh," I murmured to myself.

Recollecting myself, I was walking back to table eight . When getting there, the seat was completely emptyCrap took too long, as the customer had left, however I decided to suck it up and not get upset and just move on. As I was about to move back to the storage and throw away the ruined foods, I heard a person's footsteps behind me. looking back to see the exact same man as before. We both looked at each other shortly after he sat down, realizing what had just happened. We laughed together, breaking the silence.

"Hey stranger, my friend should be coming soon," he said to me, gazing into my Baby Blue eyes. I slowly smiled at him as he beckoned me to sit down. I then slowly wait for his friend to arrive. This day has slowly gotten much more interesting.
