Flash Forward, 9 months later...
It's my 6th birthday next month but Emi is feeling horrible. She vomits everytime and she feels great pain. She also had to cancel all her concerts. I guess the baby is coming.
We had a gender reveal 6 months ago and it was a boy. Whenever I got home, I would grab a piece of writing paper and scribble some good names for a baby boy. Emi said that all of the names were very good. She even said I could name him!
"Mama," I asked as Emi was resting in bed.
She turned around and smiled. "What's up, Aki?" She responded cheerfully.
I show her the sheet of writing paper with names written on. One of them has one circled in red marker.
"I think I want to name the baby Xiao." I reply as I point to the name 'Xiao' circled in the red.
Emi grinned. "That's a lovely name," She said as she patted her stomach. She clutched my hand. "I have an announcement to make."
I look at her. "Yeah, mama?"
"The baby is coming in 5 more days." Emi uttered. "I won't be home for around 1-2 days."
I look at Emi's stomach. Then, I lean my ear close to it. I can hear the heart beating.
BA-DMP. BA-DMP.
"I can't wait to be an older sister!" I cheer as I jump up and down on the floor full of energy. Emi trys to calm me down.
"You will be an amazing sister." Emi agrees as she clasped my hands.
