Chapter 4

When she came back she looked more relieved.

“Okay let me start from the start. When you where little, we where BFs. You was a guard, I

was a soldier.”  She took deep breath.

“They made us older by using some ‘potions’ ,don’t ask, they trained us to fight. Kill the people…Who are tried to get the water.” She sighed.

“You where one of the Captains. Because you where the strongest, smartest, and toughest.” She gave me a sad look.

“Have you ever wondered why you can’t remember anything before first grade?”  I tried but all I came up with was someone holding their hand out.

She smiled, “It’s because your brain was wiped of this place, of your position, of your friends.”  At the ‘position’ part she grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me.

I stepped back. Trying to escape her grip. “Great…Thanks for telling me. Can you tell me what I’m doing here again?”

Like she didn’t hear me she kept going on.  “They decided to close the program, so they gave us a ‘potion’ to go back to our normal state. I stayed here; they wanted you to go somewhere else. So they wiped your memory and sent you to your…your parents.” At the ‘your’ part she dropped her hands; sat down on the floor looking up at me.

I grinned as I thought of a condescend. A couple years ago some friends and I where playing this game that involved ‘punching and kicking’. Somehow I did summersault in the air and landed on my feet. All my friends where wide eyed and mouth open. I was wondering what they were surprised at when my mom came and said that to never do that again. When I was in my room the same day my mom came in and said that most people can’t do a flip in the air. I didn’t get it but now I do.

“What are you doing?” I heard a voice blare over an invisible speaker.

“Cat! Come here!” She got up surprised; “Sorry I need to get that!” she hurried out again.

AGAIN!!!!!!  I groaned. Then I got an idea. ‘Let’s explore a little…’ I thought with an evil smile.

He looked at screen, 15ft wide, 17ft high. ‘Ahh, the wonderful wonders of money’ he smiled. Christina looked around a corner.   She grinned to herself for being so clever. ‘Yeah….right.’ he smirked.

“Catherin,” she turned to him, her brown eyes tracing his. Oddly enough. They looked like each other. Well actually they were almost each other; she was one of his daughters.

“Get me the antidote M.”  She handed him a long needle. His smiled widened.

“Now give me the WP.” She handed him an even longer needle, Cat shivered with the thought of what that was going to do. He grinned.

“Its time…”  He said. Cat cringed then ran out of the room.
