Chapter 2
The phone almost dropped out of my hand. Water, the real one, was a delicate subject. I fumbled to get it.
“N-no why?” I stuttered.
“Oh. My. God. You don’t remember anything.”It was barely a whisper but I could make it out.
“So why?” I asked.
“We need you, just go outside and car will get you.” She said.
“Ummmm, Okay?” I scratched my head. I walked outside. A red car screeched up, the window rolled down reviling a guy who looked like a spy.
“Christina Johnstan?” The guy asked me, flicking his sun glasses down. He had light brown and blue eyes.
“Yeah….” I stepped back a little.
“Hop in.” He somehow popped the back door open with a flick of a button. I hesitated then went in.
“Where are we going?” I ask, playing with the window click thing.
“You are going to the lab.” He said in a monotonous tone. I leaned back in the comfy, black leather, seat. We sat in silence until the car slowed down.
“Out you go.” He said, with the press of another button the door swung open.
I jumped out saying thanks. The building that we stopped at was small, red bricked with a red door. I knocked, No answer, I knocked again.
“Password…” Said a robotic voice.
“Ummmm, cheese?” I racked my brain for anything but only thought of that.
The voice laughed “No, but I know who you are…. Christina Johnstan.” I felt my mouth drop open 'weird' I thought. The door opened slowly. I stepped inside. It was cold and dark, I felt for a light switch, nothing.
“Oh, my, god! Is that you?” The lights flicked on. A girl that has black hair and brown eyes, a big smile on her face came up and hugged me, she was about the same size as me.
“Do I know you?” I asked confused. She looked up. Then grinned.
“I’m Cat, the girl who talked to you over the phone.” She smiled again. She stopped hugging me and went over to a door that I didn’t see before. She opened it, and walked in. She motioned me to follow. I went forward and went through the door, inside this room was puffy couches and everything was pink.
“Whose room is this and why am I here?” I ask cocking my head.
She looks back, “This is my room and you are here on a mission.” She sighed and plopped down in the stuffed animal covered bed on the left side of the room.
“Can you go in deeper context?” Put my hand through my brown hair.
“I will, soon.” She says, “But not right now.” She grins and lays back.
“So what do we do now?” I ask. Her gaze locked on to mine. She had a mysteries look in it.
“We test what you can do.” She grinned widely. I had a really bad feeling about this.
