Changing tides

After being introduced to his friends and all I felt uncomfortable about the whole thing so I left the area, mainly because his 'friend' Genesis, kept looking at me weirdly. I couldn't really be near his other friends, they were all just too odd for my liking, I wanted my old friends back and I wanted to be able to talk to them like I used to. So I went for a small walk only to get to a park, I went to a swing and swayed a bit as I thought before I felt hands go over my eyes.

"Guess who Lil." I heard Riku say from behind.

"Hm, sounds like the voice of a guy I used to call friend, which means with him is another betrayer of his word to me. Riku you aren't that slick and Lea I can smell your cologne a mile away."I teased

"W-What?!" Lea said before I heard something hit the ground

I then heard Riku's laugh before he let me see. I saw that not only where those two there but Zexion was there too. I glared at the three of them.

"What the fuck do you three want?" I said coldly

"We want to apologize for what we did Lily, Can you forgive us?" Lea asked as he sat up from the ground

I sighed and rubbed between my eyes. "Why should I?"

"all of us miss being around you." Riku said sadly

"You three should have thought about that before lying straight to me. Especially you Zexion, I know that I might not be all that important, but at least you could have had the decency to tell your 'cousin' that you were busy with a damn school project!" I said glaring at the three of them

"I know that was a bad move on my part, I feel terrible about it...Can we please start this over?" Zexion asked sadly

I sighed and stood up. "If you three want to get my friendship back I need you three to do me a favor and be sneaky about it. I want you to see whether or not Kadaj is in a relationship with any other girl but myself. Zexion I know you know how to take pictures without the flash on, once you three have photo or Video proof on it if he is...I'll be friend you all."

"W-Wait you're with him?" Zexion asked shocked

"For the moment, if you wish to get me back as your friend or maybe more then do that simple task tomorrow for me." I said before I kissed Zexion's cheek and left the park.

I didn't trust someone who was known as a player. If I can get proof against him from those who want to be called my friends, then they will have my respect back and I'll be with Zexion. Plus take his offer...I refuse to be near a lying cheating butmunch. I try to act normal the rest of the night and I go to school the next day with the gang of people. I ignore them as I go to my locker, I soon hear squealing and I look to see that Rosey was all over Kadaj. He wasn't even trying to get her off of him, so I went past them hitting him with my book bag as I went past him. I think he noticed it was me who hit him and pushed her off of him. I looked to the trio of males with a small smile.

"I'll see you three at lunch alright?" I said with a grin

"Alright Lily." They said together.

I was about to make things go totally ape-shit for Kadaj...I don't care anymore.

At lunch I sat with the trio guys I used to always sit with, instantly I had Zexion and Riku on either side of me.

"As you saw this morning Rosey was all over Kadaj, we recorded that, but in different classes I got him flirting and more with two other girls." Zexion said as he showed me pictures and a video of Kadaj kissing Amber, a girl he used to date..or so I thought.

I placed my head down on the table and sighed. "And this is why I need you three as my friends."

"Are you going to break up with him?" Zexion asked curiously

"I will in English, but I need you to do something for me Zex." I said looking to him

"What might that be?" Zexion asked curiously

"Make things so damn confusing for Rosline that she asks for Kadaj back."

He laughed and he patted my back. "That's not difficult to do. She is about as ditsy as your average dumb blond."

I rolled my eyes and looked to him. "I'm being serious here, I want you back as my partner. I want to do Romeo and Juliet play with you...I shouldn't have done what I did before."

He smiled a bit and shoved me a bit off of my chair. "You really are an odd girl...here I thought you'd get all emotional like on me and start crying."

"Psh, I don't cry in school....outside of school though...that's a different story all together." I said with a shrug before we got our lunches.

Once we got into our last period class I saw that Zexion was confusing her as I got the script out for Romeo and Juliet. Then I heard the annoying yell of Rosey.

"FORGET THIS! I WANT KADAJ BACK!" Rosey yelled

"Lily, I know you didn't want to work with him, but can you go back to working with Zexion?" our teacher asked

I shrugged. "Sure I guess I can."

Kadaj then stopped me. "You aren't going to protest it?"

"Why protest something like that? Its just a play anyways...it gives me time to say this to you. Stop being a man whore and using women. I'm not an object and I refuse to be used as such. If you want to be with A girl that's one thing but many girls at the same time...psh. You aren't worth crying over." I said before I got up and went to sit by Zexion

I saw that I got many applauds from around and smiled before I looked to Zexion. "So...who should we have for who Zexy?" I teased

He blushed but smiled. "I'm glad to have you back as my friend Lily."

I grinned and nudged him a bit. "Get on track here slacker."

"Right..."

We discussed the play that I had written before assigning parts to the people we knew. After class I went to my locker and left school only to hear Zexion's voice from behind me. I stopped and I smiled at him.

"Yes Zex?" I asked curiously

"U-Uhm...L-Lilly...D-Do you think maybe w-we can be maybe more than friends...I...I know that you just got out of a relationship with Kadaj. But I care a lot about you." He said rubbing the back of his head nervously

I smiled and nodded my head before I hugged him tightly. "Of course!"

He hugged me back and it reminded me of the times that Kadaj had hugged me to comfort me. I then cried into his shoulder which then I felt him rub my back softly. "Its going to be alright Lily, I'm never going to let him hurt you."

"I-I know...B-But I live with him." I said sadly

"I can re-arrange that Lil, hold on." He said before I heard him get his phone out.

I heard him talk to his mother before closing his phone and smiling at me.

"I hope you didn't unpack there, I'll be at his place in an hour. I need to help my mom out with something really quick like but then I'll be there to get you alright?"

I nodded my head and kissed his cheek. "Alright Zexion, I'll wait for you. T-Thank you."

"No, Thank you for taking me and the other two back." He said before he kissed my cheek softly

I blushed and smiled. "I...I'll see you in an hour Zexion."

"That you will. I love you Lily."

I smiled a bit more and wiped my eyes. "I...I love you too." I said blushing before I left rushing to the house I was going to be leaving.

I was more than happy to be where I belong, with my best friend and now boyfriend, Zexion.
